Arteta told target ‘best in world’ – £100M star told to sign with Arsenal – Gunners ‘what Liverpool used to be’ claim
Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today –
Manchester United have been linked with a summer move for Declan Rice, but he has been told to make the move to ARSENAL.
Over the past few seasons – Rice has developed into one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League and a man that is heavily tipped to join one of the big clubs at the end of the season.
Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been linked – but so have Arsenal after their stunning season in which fans will see the club regain Champions League football and possible a League title.
Now former England striker Andy Carroll has urged the West Ham man to join Arsenal instead.
Reading ace Carroll told Metro: “We all know he needs to go to a top club. I can’t see him going outside of England, but he should go to a top-three or top-two club.
“I’d like to see Declan at Arsenal to be honest – I’m not an Arsenal fan but I like the way they’re playing at the minute.
“The way Mikel Arteta has them playing and the young lads coming through – you see the team and the average age is incredible.”

There is always so much speculation surrounding the future of Declan Rice for some time – and it would be a massive shock to see him stay at the Hammers at the end of the season.
However – is he really needed at Arsenal? They have so many top class midfielders already so spending £100 million on another one just does not make sense.
It will be interesting to see if ARSENAL do make a move for the man in the summer – but we are sure they will not pay crazy money.
STUNNING LIVERPOOL CLAIM MADE –
Ahead of Liverpool vs ARSENAL this weekend, Jamie Carragher claims the Gunners are the team his old side “used to be”.
The Gunners have not won a Premier League away game against the Reds for 11 years. But they head into the clash at the weekend off the back of seven successive league victories.
Mikel Arteta has built a squad packed full of hungry young stars, with his side currently eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table, and this will be seen as one of the most important games if they are to regain that Premier League crown.
Carragher wrote in his Telegraph column: “Arsenal are the team Liverpool used to be.”
“They are young, fast, energetic, thrilling, hungry, dynamic and on the threshold of ending a long wait for the Premier League title.
“Everything about them is exciting.
“When I look at Arsenal, I see an evolving team with the core of their strongest XI at the start of what should be an illustrious career. When I look at Liverpool, I see a core of players whose peak is behind them.”
Ian Wright recently backed his former club to beat Liverpool at Anfield this Sunday.
Speaking on the Wrighty’s House podcast, he said: “Liverpool’s performance away to Man City was disappointing because it felt like an old champion going back into the ring.
“For a couple of rounds it looked like they were back but then they were gone after the first punch. Man City just steamrolled them and it was quite embarrassing for Liverpool in the end.
“I think Arsenal have the energy and the capabilities to cause Liverpool problems. It’s a question of how long we can sustain it at Anfield because that’s not something we’ve done for a while there.
“If we can beat them – which I think we can – then I’m starting to get very excited. I’m excited as it is but these are the huge games in a title race.
“I think Arsenal can do it, I’m confident Arsenal can do it. It’s so exciting. I can already feel the buzz around that game.
“With what’s going on at Liverpool, it’s the time to attack them and get them to answer some questions.
“I know we’re going to have a period in that game where if Liverpool are not at it, we’re probably going to score a couple of goals.
“That’s what I’m excited about. I like our mentality and we’ve got to go there and do what we’ve been doing over the past month or so.”
OSIMHEN CLAIM MADE –
His performances have not gone unnoticed, with top clubs across Europe reportedly interested in signing him.
Arsenal , in particular, have been linked with a move for Osimhen, and some reports suggest that the club may be willing to pay as much as £150 million to secure his signature. This may seem like a staggering amount of money, but there are several reasons why Arsenal should consider making such an investment in Osimhen.
And according to his agent – the striker is much better that Manchester City striker Haaland – who has already bagged 40 goals this season.
Andrea D’Amico has told Radio24: “At the moment, Osimhen is the best striker in the world. Yes, even better than Haaland.

‘He certainly won’t lack of options, especially in England and Paris Saint-Germain, who could lose an important player up front. In my opinion, Messi will go to Miami. But that’s just my opinion.”
However – to say that he is better than Haaland is crazy – the City striker is the man at the moment and the fact he has almost double what Osimhen says in a League that is much tougher – says alot.
