Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed –

ARSENAL legend Patrick Vieira has backed Michael Olise as good enough to play for Arsenal.

The season is over and although the Gunners have finished the season without any silverware – there will be Champions League football for the club next season.

that means that Mikel Arteta will want Edu to sign a number of players that will add some depth and quality to the side – and Olise is a man that is rpeortedly on the agenda for the Spanish boss.

The winger has been in electrifying form throughout the campaign, becoming the first-ever Palace player to record double digits for assists in an individual Premier League season.

According to Fichajes, The Gunners believe that Olise has the perfect skillset to play for the club as an understudy to Bukayo Saka.

The 21-year old will be available for a fee of around £35 million with Manchester City also competing for his signature.

His performances for Palace this season led to his team-mates voting him the Players’ Player of the Season

Viera was asked by Mirror Football “Which player at Palace now would be a part of Arsenal’s starting XI right now?”

Vieira’s said: “Listen at Palace I had the chance to work with some really talented young players, and the two that come to my mind are Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze.

“They are young and still have a lot to improve on, but they have the potential to play in the top teams in Europe.”

Everyone can see that Olise is a brilliantly gifted winger and has a bright future in the game. He is just the type of player that Arteta would love to add to the squad.

However – to back-up to Bukayo Saka means that he would not play as much as he is now – and that could scupper his development.

It would definitely be a big move for the lad – but not the right move for him to make right now

Havertz claim made –

It has been claimed that Chelsea will allow ARSENAL target Kai Havertz to leave for £70 million this summer.

Chelsea are one of the best sides in the game – there is no doubt about that and have some world class players – but the one thing that they are missing is a world class striker.

Graham Potter and Frank Lampard used Kai Havertz as his top man – and he does ok at times – but he is not a natural goal-scorer that can hold the ball up etc – and struggled last season,

He has been linked with a move away from west London after another frustrating season in which he scored just seven goals in 35 Premier League games, with a move to Real Madrid talked about alot in the media.

Arsenal have also been linked with a shock move in recent days as Mikel Arteta looks to improve the side – but if they are keen to get a deal done – they will have to pay £70 million according to the SUN.

Aamid all the speculation and the rumours – Thierry Henry has told Arsenal to complete the signing of the Chelsea ace: “I thought he was good on the first goal you could see held the ball ever so well,” Henry said.

“He reminds me sometimes, a little, of Robin back to goal the way he can hold the ball.

‘Robin van Persie was very good with his left foot, the touch was always immaculate he tried to bring people along.

“This is why out of the guys that used to be wingers or No.10 he plays as a nine because with his back to goal he can hold the ball well.

‘Now he needs to make sure he can transform that into more goals because you can play off him.”

If the reports are true and he is on his way out of the club – we are not sure that he is a player that will do any better at ARSENAL than what he is doing at Chelsea

Raphinha price set

Barcelona have apparently set an asking price on Brazil winger and long-term ARSENAL target Raphinha.

After establishing himself as one of the very best wingers in the Premier League over at Leeds – big clubs started circling over the summer for the signature of Raphinha.

But was Barcelona that came calling and convinced Raphinha to make the move to the Camp Nou instead.

But according to recent reports on AS, ARSENAL, Tottenham, Chelsea and Newcastle United have retained their interest in Raphinha ahead of the summer window and some members of Barca’s board are open to selling the 26-year-old if they receive a significant return on their initial £55m outlay last year

Now Sport claim that the Catalans will demand £68million for the wideman.

Raphinha proved himself to be a brilliant winger in the Premier League with Leeds and if he did come back – he would add to any side in the Premier League.

But he may think that it is fake news – but at the end of the day – Barcelona have big plans and they will need all the money they can get in order to achieve their dreams.

This summer window is now officially open and if the Spaniards receive the money they desire – then Raphinha will be a man that Xavi allows to leave

However – we cant see this move happening simply because the Gunners already have a number of players like him in that squad and dont need to sign another winger.

There are other areas of the pitch they want to improve.
