Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed –

Brighton star Evan Ferguson has already been linked with a move to ARSENAL after a stunning start to the new season.

The 18-year-old striker burst onto the scene last season and earned himself a new five-year deal with the club last spring.

The Republic of Ireland international’s netted 14 league goals in just over 30 appearances for Brighton and has attracted interest from come of the Premier League’s biggest and best clubs.

Ferguson has netted a whopping four goals in four matches for the Seagulls already this season after a stunning hat-trick against Newcastle, and According to Football London, the striker is being eyed by the Gunners.

However, the 18-year-old is also targeted by London rivals Chelsea as well as Tottenham.

Brighton chief executive Paul Barber recently sent a clear transfer message to the likes of ARSENAL about trying to sign Evan Ferguson

‘In Evan’s case, it’ll be in at least five years’ time!,’ Barber joked to TalkSPORT.

‘Ultimately the technical staff are making the key decisions on where a player is in his development, whether he needs more first team games or needs to go on loan or if we need to trade earlier or later.

‘Ultimately it’s going to be a collective decision but it’s driven by the technical staff and we’re relying on them to make those judgements regarding the players’ development.

‘There are times when it’s better for us to keep a player in and around our first team group, training with us and getting the odd first team appearance from the bench or in cup games, while on other occasions it’s better for them to go out on loan in Europe and others it’s better for them to stay in this country and be somewhere where we can keep a far closer eye on them.

‘For those decisions, Tony and I leave them to the technical staff and we only really get involved when we get to the financial decisions and where we go next.

‘It’s a combined effort, it’s a team effort and we’re as much of a team off the pitch as we are on it and Tony and I both believe that we’ve got to work collaboratively and effectively, but ultimately, Roberto De Zerbi is making the big calls when it comes to the playing squad.’

JORGINHO STAYING –

Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos has clamed his client will not be joining Fenerbache this September from Arsenal.

With the arrivals of Declan Rice and Kai Havertz this summer there has been much talk of a revamped midfield at ARSENAL, with Jorginho not tipped by many to be first choice.

That has led to some suggestions in the media that he is a player that the Gunners would allow to depart the club this transfer window – with a move to the Spanish league or Saudi Arabia mooted for the Italian star.

However – once the summer window closed for Premier League clubs on the 1st September, it seemed that all the transfer speculation regarding the Italian star had stopped as it seemed he was all set to stay.

But a recent report from Team Talk suggests that Fenerbahce is not giving up on their pursuit of Jorginho and will use the remaining days of their transfer window to attempt to secure his signature.

The same report adds that the Super Lig giants and the Gunners are in negotiations over a deal worth between £6million and £6.8m, but that seems to not be the case if you believe the words of Jorginho’s agent.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –

Joao Santos told TMW: “Jorginho is focused on Arsenal, on the Premier League title race and the Champions League.

“He will not join Fenerbache.”

The quotes come after the Istanbul giants were linked with a move for the midfielder.

SHOULD JORGINHO LAVE ARSENAL?

If the Italian is happy to sit on the bench and wait for his chance – then he should stay and collect those big wages. But if he wants to play every week, then a move away needs to happen.

However – he really is the type of player that managers love to have in the squad, he is world class, he is proven at the top of the game, he has that experience, and he is a proven winner, so keeping him happy this season will be on the agenda of Arteta.

So, the news that he intends to not leave ARSENAL will be massive news.

ARTETA WANTS TONEY –

Arsenal are still being linked with Brentford star Ivan Toney when he is free to play football again in January.

ARSENAL have improved most areas of the pitch this summer window and brought in players that will only improve their chances of winning that Premier League title form Manchester City.

But there has been some rumours in the media that Mikel Arteta is looking to get some more transfer deals done in the January window and try to add a more proven striker to the squad that can bang in 20 goals a season.

Toney, who is currently serving an eight-month ban for betting rule breaches, scored 20 Premier League goals last season with Brentford and is a man that all the big clubs are interested in signing despite his ban.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

According to Football London, the Gunners are looking into the idea of bringing Ivan Toney to the Emirates in the January window, despite all the interest in the Brentford forward.

This comes after Toney may have hinted that his future lies away from the Bees after signing with Jonathan Barnett’s CAA Stellar Agency. The England international has just two more years remaining on his contract at the Gtech Community Stadium.

He also recently revealed his preferred destination after revealing that he is a huge admirer of the Gunners.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –

The striker said: “I’ve been a Liverpool fan my whole life, but from young I’ve liked Arsenal. I’ve liked watching Arsenal and how they play and how passionate their fans are.

“I’m a Liverpool boy at heart.”

SHOULD ARSENAL SIGN TONEY?

Look, Toney will be our for the next few months because of issues off the pitch – but that doesnt hide the fact he is a proven 20-goal a season Premier League striker – he really is quality.

Arsenal are lacking a big man like Toney up top and the way that Arteta plays – he would fit into the system perfectly at the Emirates.

Gabriel Jesus may be the number one at ARSENAL – but once he gets injured, Eddie Nketiah comes in and does a good job, but he is not a 20-goal striker.

Toney would be a buy that Arsenal fans would welcome.
