Look, ARSENAL have had plenty of time to sign Gyokeres – it is not like they need to sell players before making signings – they have a big transfer budget to play with.
The big striker would be a brilliant signing for the club though – Nketiah is ready to move and there is talk that Gabriel Jesus could also depart the club – so at the end of the day – the Gunners would probably be making money by selling two and signing one.

ARSENAL STEP UP MERINO CHASE –
Arsenal will now look to wrap up the potential signing of Spanish midfielder Mikel Merino after they Gunners completed a deal for Riccardo Calafiori.
The Italy international emerged as Mikel Arteta’s top target this summer after his brilliant performances at Euro 2024, and Arsenal have been working hard to get a deal done for months.
But now that he is an Arsenal player – Arsenal can work on trying to wrap up the potential signing of Merino – who is a player that Arteta is also keen to bring to the Emirates after an impressive Euros 2024 with Spain.
Reports in Spain have suggested Merino is not interested in a move to the Spanish capital with SPORT recently reporting Barcelona’s hopes of signing him were also fading fast.
And According to Football Transfers, the Gunners and Merino have agreed on personal terms, with the player reportedly very keen to make the move to Arsenal.
Ex-Gunners and Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre reckons Merino would be a quality addition – Silvestre told bettingexpert.com: “Mikel Merino is another profile that would suit Arsenal and the style of play.
“There’s room in the midfield but the places are tough to get with Ødegaard, Rice, Jorginho, Havertz and Partey so it’s not easy but they need competition to close the gap (with City).”

ARETTA WELCOMES CALAFIORI –
Mikel Arteta has officially welcomed RIccardo Calafiori to Arsenal after months of speculation.
The 22-year-old, who can play at centre-back or left-back, has signed a five-year contract with the Gunners until 2029 and he further strengthens a defensive unit that conceded only 29 goals and kept 18 clean sheets in the Premier League.
There were bids from other clubs in the last two weeks, but Calafiori only wanted a move to ARSENAL and gave his word he would join Mikel Arteta’s side, and now Arteta has welcomed his new signing to the club.
Mikel Arteta told the club website: “We welcome Riccardo and his family to Arsenal. He is a great signing and gives us huge strength to reinforce our defence.
“Riccardo is a big personality and character, with specific skills which will make us stronger as we push to win major trophies. He has already shown great development in recent seasons with his performances for both Bologna and Italy, with his progression and development in the past year being really impressive.
“We’re looking forward to working with Riccardo, integrating him into the squad, and supporting him in the years to come.”

This is a deal that ARSENAL fans have been very excited about for weeks now and finally it is done – and Calafiori is certainly a player that will bring alot of quality to that Gunners back-line.
We are sure that he will need time to adapt to the Premier League – but it will help playing in one of the most defesively sound sides in the Premier League and a club that can seriously win that Title this upcoming season.
Now there is still alot more time for Arsenal to add a few more players to the side.
