Mikel Arteta tells Arsenal fans ‘we are working’ on signing striker this January
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has come out and told ARSENAL fans that the club are working on adding a new striker to the squad before the close of the transfer window on February 3rd.
Arsenal scored more goals than in any other Premier League season last term as they amassed 89 points, and this season they have netted 43 goals in 22 league games this season – the fourth-most in the English top-flight.
There has been alot of talk in the media that a new striker is something that Arteta wants to bring to Arsenal this transfer window, especially as the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus has picked up injuries in recent weeks.
Now, amid all the speculation and rumours linking Arsenal with a number of players, and with less than a week remaining until the winter transfer window closes, Arsenal will have to move quickly and make their decision as soon as possible
Speaking to the media, Arteta said: “My opinion is clear. We lost two very important players in Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus. We lack goals, we lack people and we lack options. It’s clear.
“If we can get the right player that’s why we are actively looking at it. We are working on it, yes. Any player? No. Someone who makes us better. We need some help.
“Yeah (There is work going on now).”
