Mikel Arteta ‘would love to sign’ one of the best midfielders in big Arsenal deal
Mikel Arteta would love to bring Benfica star Joao Neves to Arsenal in the coming transfer window, it has been claimed.
After another stunning season for Arsenal in which they came very close to winning that Premier League title – Mikel Arteta is set to be backed in the coming transfer window.
Joao Neves is a player that the likes of ARSENAL have been linked with in recent weeks – although his massive asking price may become an issue for some chasing clubs in the summer.
But that has not stopped all the speculation that he is a player that Arsenal would love to sign – especially as many believe he has the ability to develop into one of the very best defenders in world football.
According to A Bola, Benfica are demanding twice as much for Joao Neves as Arsenal are reportedly willing to offer for the player.
The Gunners are ready to offer €60m (£51m) for the young midfielder, but the Portuguese giants want more than what the Gunners are prepared to offer.
And according to a recent report on Sportlens, Arsenal ‘would love’ to sign Benfica midfielder Joao Neves this summer transfer window.

Spending £87 million on a talent like Neves is mad – he has alot to prove and many fans would much prefer the club spend that kind of money on a world class player that can make an immediate impact.
The transfer is a few months away – but ARSENAL need to make sure they sign quality over quantity as they will need to bring in players that could make an immediate impact on the side.
Neves is a very talented – but he is not really the type of player that would get the likes of Man City and Liverpool worried for next season.
