Spanish International makes big transfer admission – Arsenal keen on transfer deal

Marco Asensio admits his destination next season is a mystery, with ARSENAL linked with a transfer move.

Asensio joined Real Madrid from Real Mallorca in 2014 and has taken in over 250 appearances for the Blancos – scoring over 50 goals and collecting three La Liga titles and three Champions League crowns.

However – there has been alot of speculation about his future at the club and whether or not he is part of Carlo Ancelotti’s long-term plans – which has alerted a number of top level clubs.

The Spaniard has been used predominantly from the bench this season and It is no secret that Mikel Arteta and Arsenal are massive fans of the man and have been linked with a move for the last few transfer windows – and it was believed that they would get a chance to sign the Spaniard at the end of the season.

Last month he was tipped to sign an extended contract until 2026 or 2027. But Asensio told beIN Sports: “Honestly, I don’t know what will happen. I have not thought about it or weighed it up. I can’t give an answer right now.

“The speculation is normal. From July, I am free to sign for another club.

“A lot more will come out. I am in a world where there are a lot of rumours and I can’t control that.”

Asensio is a brilliantly gifted midfielder – there is no doubt about that and if he does come onto the market – he will be hot commodity.

If ARSENAL manage to get the man he could be a very good signing for the club.
