Auba sends clear message, Martinez says farewell, Juninho has Aouar update, Chelsea slammed for Willian decision and Arteta looking to sign duo in Arsenal roundup…

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has sent a clear message to Arsenal after agreeing his deal with the club.

Regarded as one of the finest strikers in the Premier League, Aubameyang ended months of speculation yesterday when he put pen-to-paper and agreed a massive £350,000-a-week contract at the Emirates.

And now, having committed his future to the club and ending all speculation that he could be leaving soon, he has set his sights on ensuring he is remembered alongside some of the all-time greats.

Aubameyang needs 28 goals to hit the 100 mark for Arsenal, something that is entirely achievable in the coming campaign when you consider he found the net 31 times in 2018-19 and 29 times last season.

“Of course, I knew about Arsenal before I arrived,” he said on the Arsenal website. “Everybody knows how special this club is.

“I’ve seen incredible players, passionate players, Invincible players. I dream of being one of them, amongst the best and staying in the hearts of the fans forever.

“I want to become an Arsenal legend like Thierry, Wrighty, [Tony] Adams, [Dennis] Bergkamp, too many to mention. It means so much for me to be the captain of this special club. I want to leave a legacy. This is where I belong.”

Emiliano Martinez has sent a farewell message to Arsenal and their fans ahead of his move to Aston Villa.

Martinez has been a revelation in the Arsenal side since he took over Bernd Leno just after the re-start of football, and his performances have been impressing alot of people, and clubs.

However, he was not guaranteed a regular starting spot once at the Emirates and the Gunners made the decision to cash in on the stopper this summer, with reports revealing that he will cost Villa £20 million to acquire.

And ahead of his move to Villa, Martinez has sent a farewell message to Arsenal and their fans as he embarks on a new challenge after spending ten years at the Arsenal, where he was more than settled.

Speaking on Instagram, he said: “With my family we decided, 11 years at Arsenal and you work 10 years so hard, you leave through the front door today.

“For me I could not be happier to leave through the front door with the Arsenal fan base supporting me and the club.

“I’m very grateful for the 11 years at Arsenal, even if it was a hard road for me and I suffer through my time here.

“But today I’m happy, and I try to show young goalkeepers that hard work pays off.”

Mikel Arteta is reportedly planning to sign TWO midfielders after reaching an agreement with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Regarded as one of the finest strikers in the game right now, the future of Aubameyang has dominated the headlines for Arsenal all summer transfer window, as he still hadnt signed a new contract with the club

But an announcement was made just 24 hours ago that he has signed a massive three-year contract to stay at the Emirates and become the highest pad player in the Premier League, with a £350,000-a-week deal agreed.

But now that Auba has been signed up to a new contract, The Mirror have claimed Atletico Madrid ace Thomas Partey and Lyon star Houssem Aouar are the top of his wishlist and Arteta will push ahead to try and get a transfer deal done for the pair.

Partey has been linked with the club all season and it is believed that he is open to the idea of making that move to Arsenal, but the Gunners have not yet been willing to meet that £43 million asking price, and no deal has taken place.

And it has been stated that Aouar is keen to depart Lyon, with his future to potentially be resolved in the next two weeks, although Arsenal would have to pay some serious money in order to get get a transfer deal done.

Earlier this week, the manager confirmed the club are still “active” in the transfer market, He said: “We are looking at different options. I would say we are active in the transfer market with players in and out.

Paul Merson has opened up and slammed Chelsea for letting Willian leave and join Arsenal this summer.

After months, and months, and months, AND MONTHS, of transfer speculation regarding the future of Willian, the Brazilian decided that staying in London was the best option for him to make and he agreed a three-year deal with the Arsenal.

It has been seen as a great bit of business by the Arsenal board as he is one of the best attackers in the Premier League, and he has already had an impact in the Arsenal side as they sit top of the Premier League.

Now Merson has opened up and slammed Chelsea for allowing the Brazilian to leave the club this transfer window, He told Sky Sports: “I can’t believe Chelsea let Willian go. I know they’ve gone out and get special players, but there’s nothing to say they’re going to hit the ground running.

“In Willian, you’ve got someone there who is ready-made. I like who they’ve signed, but they cost a lot of money, and their wages are probably the same as Willian.

“Frank Lampard has now. He hasn’t got four years. That’s management, I’m not being horrible. Even if Frank wins the league this year, it doesn’t mean he’s going to be there in four years’ time! We know that, and how it changes.

“Who is to say this isn’t going to take time for Chelsea? And I don’t think they’ve got time at the moment.”

There is no doubt that Willian is a top player that Arsenal have signed for nothing, so Chelsea’s loss is the Gunners gain.

As we said, he will be a great bit of business by the club come the end of the season.

Lyon’s sporting director Juninho gave an update on the Houssem Aouar transfer situation amid speculation that Arsenal have submitted an offer.

Aouar is one of the most exciting midfielders in the game right now and he has become a top target of Mikel Arteta after the Spaniard was impressed by the midfielders performances in the Champions League last season.

However, Lyon are seeking a massive fee to let the player leave this transfer window, and it is believed that Arsenal do not have the funds to pay that £54 million that could wrap up a transfer deal.

And that led to reports in the media which suggested that Arsenal are willing to offer Guendouzi as part of the deal, as they seek to get the Frenchman off their books this transfer window.

However, it seems that Arsenal will have to pay the full price if they are to get Aouar this transfer window, as Lyon have informed Arsenal that no swap deal will be taking place this summer.

But that has not stopped reports in the media which have suggested that Arsenal have actually submitted an offer to get a deal done, which does not involve Guendouzi, but that has been played down by Juninho.

He revealed conversations had taken place but not gone any further than that, Juninho told Telefoot Chaine: “For now, there is nothing for these players. We have not received anything for Houssem, we have not received anything for Memphis [Depay].”
