Auba coy on future, Midfielder drops Arsenal transfer hint, Arteta claims Aubameyang staying, Gunners can sign world class act for £81 million, Arsenal told to sell Ozil

Auba coy on future, Ceballos drops future hint, Arsenal told to sell Ozil, £81 million for Koulibaly, Arteta claims Aubameyang will be staying in Arsenal news roundup…

Arsenal have been told to sell Mesut Ozil this summer and use the money to sign up striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Aubameyang is now 31 years of age, but he has scored 70 goals through 109 appearances for Arsenal, but he is entering the final year of his contract at the Emirates and has shown no desire to pen the new contract that has been placed on the table by the club.

But former star Jermaine Pennant has claimed that Arsenal need to get rid of Ozil, who is seemingly not part of the plans at the Emirates, and use the money that is generated form the Germans departure to hand Aubameyang a contract that he cannot refuse.

The former Gunners winger told talkSPORT, with Arteta’s side set to go in pursuit of major silverware when they take in a meeting with Chelsea on Saturday: “Winning the FA Cup would make it easier to keep hold of him, but the fact he’s not playing Champions League football is going to be a massive factor in him staying.

“A player of that calibre wants to be playing in the Champions League, all the top players in the world want to play on that stage.

“It’s going to be tough for Arsenal to keep him, especially with his contract running down. He’s already rejected an offer to stay, so Arteta is going to have to be doing some right good sweet-talking.

“But if you’ve got Ozil on £300,000 a week and it’s a money issue with Aubameyang, then why not just let Ozil go? Sell Ozil!

“If he’s scoring goals the way he is, just give him the money, it doesn’t matter how old he is!”

Arsenal loanee Dani Ceballos has insisted he’s loving life at the Emirates and believes he’s hitting his best form.

Ceballos has been in the media over the past few months as Mikel Arteta has openly come out and admitted that he would like the Spaniard to stay at the club beyond this season.

Ceballos has been a big part of the way Arsenal have been playing over the past few weeks, and was once again instrumental in helping the Gunners control the game against Chelsea in the 2-1 in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

But amid all the reports that Arsenal are hoping to keep hold for at least another season, the Spaniard has dropped a massive hint that he could stay with the club and feels he’s major part of the team under Mikel Arteta.

“I have been very happy at Arsenal,” Ceballos told El Pais. “Logically it is a season that will be marked by the pandemic and the whole world will affect us. Except for that, I have been very happy because the fans, the teammates and the two coaches that I have had have wrapped me up.

“If I had to choose Arsenal again, I would.

“When I have had continuity, like now at Arsenal, I have been enjoying and developing good football. My hope is to continue at this level: right now I feel like the leader of this important team, a player with stripes.

“Surrounded by people who believe in you, it is easier to believe in people. When you play like this and you also have the confidence of the coach everything is easier.”

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta thinks Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will end all speculation and sign a contract extension at Arsenal.

Prolific Gabonese frontman Aubameyang has entered the final 12 months of his current terms at Emirates Stadium, but He is yet to commit to an extension, despite offering no indication that he is looking elsewhere.

It is believed the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid interested in the man, who has now netted an impressive 70 goals in just 109 appearances for the club he joined just a few seasons ago.

But despite all the reports which have suggested that Aubameyang has played his last game as an Arsenal player, Speaking after Aubameyang’s double guided Arsenal to a 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the FA Cup final, Arteta told the BBC: “Aubameyang knows what I think about him, I want to build the squad around him.

“I think he wants to stay; it’s about getting the deal done. Moments like today will help him to realise and believe we are on the right path and that he is a big part of it.

“He’s loved by everybody at the club so hopefully he can continue with him. I think he will continue.”

Look, everyone at Arsenal does want Auba to sign a new contract and stay at the club, that is for sure, But the contract that Arsenal have reportedly placed on the table is a good one, a big one, and he still hasnt signed the thing.

Yesterday Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the man of the moment for Arsenal but was giving little away about his own future.

Despite being the main man at Arsenal and one of the very best strikers in the game, Arsenal have been unable to tie down the Gabon striker to a new deal at the Emirates and there has been alot of rumours that he could leave the club.

The FA Cup win against Chelsea on Saturday could be the very last game that Aubameyang plays in an Arsenal shirt, with claims that he will leave the club if Real Madrid or Barcelona come calling over the next ten weeks.

It is believed that money is not the issue at the club and no amount of money will convince him to stay, it is the ambition of the club and whether or not they will be playimg Champions League football and challenging for League titles.

But after netting two more goals for Arsenal in the 2-1 win over Chelsea, Aubameyang was being coy about his long-term future at the club and failed to ignore the big question that all the fans are seeking the answer too.

When asked if he would be signing a new contract, the forward said there was “nothing” he could reveal on the Wembley pitchside: “Just today, the trophy, that is it,” he said on BBC One before dashing off to join the celebrations.

Now that the season is over and the striker can have a serious think about what he wants to do, the answer to that question will come over the next few weeks, but it would not be a shock to see him leave the club on such a high note.

And would Arsenal fans really blame him for wanting to be playing at the very top? He is one of the best strikers in the planet.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has admitted Arsenal transfer target Kalidou Koulibaly may be sold – but only for £81million.

Arsenal have been in the headlines alot over the past few months as they seek to build a side that is capable of challenging for all the major trophies next season, and adding a new defender is on the agenda for Mikel Arteta

Despite all the attacking flair that Arsenal have, they have one of the worst defences in the premier League and will need to address that with a world class signing in the coming weeks, with Koulibaly on the list.

Regarded as one of the finest defenders in the game right now, Koulibaly has been heavily linked with some of the biggest clubs for months, with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool all linked with a possible deal.

Now it seems that the Italians are ready to cash in on the powerhouse after De Laurentiis has admitted Koulibaly may be sold – but only for £81million.

De Laurentiis told Sky Italia: “Kalidou is a wonderful person and of course it’d be sad to lose him.

“Everything has a time and a place, even when it comes to going our separate ways.

“‘Having said that, we don’t have €90m (£81m) on the table and in any case, it takes two to separate.”
