£350k-a-week star responds to reports he could make stunning Chelsea move!

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is intent on staying at Barcelona after Chelsea made a move to try and get a deal done

Thomas Tuchel knows that he needs to add another striker to the side – and after missing out on Darwin Nunez – Robert Lewandowski – Erling Haaland and even Harry Kane – Chelsea are now interested in a deal for Aubameyang

The 33-year-old scored 92 goals in 163 appearances during four years with the Gunners but left the Emirates under a cloud, having been stripped of the captaincy by Mikel Arteta.

However – since his move to Barcelona during the January window – he has looked like a totally different player and netted 13 goals for the Spaniards to show that he is still able to score goals on a regular basis

But after the arrival of Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich – he will not get the minutes that he would like and is now tipped to depart the Cam Nou

And that has led to stunning reports in the media that ChelseaFC have contacted Barcelona about a possible deal for the Gabon star – as they seek to finally add another striker to the side

But according to Mundo Deportivo, Aubameyang wants to remain at Barcelona and has no intention of leaving Camp Nou so soon after arriving.

A source close to Aubameyang told the Spanish newspaper: ‘Auba is very happy at Barca and he’s not thinking about leaving.’

Yes, he has been decent in Spain – but La Liga is not the Premier League

ChelseaFC have made some very good signings this summer – but this is a deal that would be a massive mistake

So, many fans will surely be delighted that he has no intention of leaving Barcelona and will indeed stay where he is

He would be an awful signing for Chelsa if this did actually get done though
