Arsenal should make £20m-a-season offer after superstar confirms exit, Saka hails amazing new signing, Adams makes Odegaard claim and is Auba back?

Alaba on the move, Saka hails new signing Odegaard, Adams makes stunnning claim and Auba back to normal in Arsenal roundup..

Arsenal should make an offer to sign David Alaba after he confirmed that he was leaving Bayern Munich in the summer.

Alaba is regarded as one of the very best left-backs in world football right now and has wo countless trophies at the German outfit, with nine Bundesliga titles and two Champions League crowns on his CV.

He, has played a central role during one of the most successful periods in Bayern’s history, helping the club win a total of 24 major trophies under six different managers, but he has now opened up and revealed that he will be leaving the club in the summer window.

Alaba told reporters on Tuesday: “It was not an easy decision. I have been here for 13 years and the association is really close to my heart. I am very grateful to the association for many things.

“I took my time because it’s not an easy decision to make overnight. I decided to do something new – a new challenge. I haven’t made the decision yet (on my new club), that remains to be seen.

“It’s no secret that my management is in contact with several clubs. But a lot is being read into it and I want to concentrate fully on my task here.

“Money has not been a factor in my decision.”

Now, we know that Arsenal are not the only club linked with a move for the player, but at the end of the day, he could be signed on a free deal and could be a very big statement signing from the club.

Arsenal great Tony Adams claims there was no need for Martin Odegaard in Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Odegaard joined Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid in January for the remainder of the season. After a couple of substitute appearances, the Norwegian made his full debut in the 4-2 Premier League win over Leeds United on Sunday.

His performance for the Arsenal in that game has led to alot of hype that he is the type of player that has been lacking from this Arsenal squad this season, with reports even suggesting that he could sign a permanent deal in the summer window.

But Adams believes Mikel Arteta should have looked to improve in defensive areas instead of bringing in the 22-year-old: “To be honest, there’s an argument that you don’t need Martin Odegaard,” Adams told Premier League Productions.

“I got so annoyed that we bought Pepe and Willian in when you’ve got two kids [Smith Rowe and Saka] bursting into the team.

“There’s other areas in the team that you could look at, there’s holes in that team, we saw how fragile they are defensively. The defence has always been the weak link.

“As the sporting director of Arsenal, you wouldn’t be getting Odegaard in, you’d be getting good, strong defenders into the team instead.”

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is “back to normal” after netting his first Premier League hat-trick.

A man that is hailed as one of the best strikers in the game, Aubameyang was given a massive £350,000-a-week contract in the summer to end all speculation on his future and keep him at the club for the next few seasons.

However, for some strange reason, Aubameyang has struggled in front of goal this season for the Arsenal and has not scored the amount of goals that the fans would like,, with his hat-trick against Leeds the first of the season.

And after seeing his star man pick up those three goals, Arteta has come out and told Gunner fans that Aubameyang is now back to Normal, The Gunners head coach told reporters of Aubameyang: “I thought he was superb today. He’s been training really good the last week or so, he was back to normal, he looked really committed in training, really hungry.

“I think today he had a great performance, not just for the goals but the amount of pressure he put on every Leeds defender.

“I am delighted for him, he deserved it. We know that’s a big part of our future success is related to Auba being at his best and scoring as many goals as possible. If he is in that type of form, we are going to be closer to winning football matches, that is clear.

“We cannot just rely on him, but he is a big piece of our puzzle. You could see that today that when he is firing he is a difficult player to play against.”

Bukayo Saka has hailed “amazing” Martin Odegaard following Arsenal’s 4-2 win against Leeds United

After a few days of talks, Arsenal managed to secure a transfer deal that would see Odegaard make the move to the Emirates until the end of the season, a move that has been hailed by many in the media.

The Norway international was handed his first Gunners start by Mikel Arteta and played a starring role in the victory, slotting in seamlessly in the No 10 role alongside Saka and Emile Smith Rowe.

The young attacking trio caused Leeds all sorts of problems with their creativity and movement, but it was Odegaard that stood out the most and Saka has now opened up and hailed the talented Odegaard, he was quoted on the club website: “He’s amazing. He has a lot of quality and I am looking forward to playing more with him, scoring some goals and assisting him. He’s an amazing player.”

He played an important role in one of Arsenal’s best attacking performances of the season, it was a display that delighted Mikel Arteta.

“I thought it was much better,” said the Gunners boss. “We were much more efficient and we were much more composed. We took our time when it was needed, we faked movement, we had runs in behind and we had people in the box and people arriving into the box.

“Our decision-making was much better and then the efficiency when we were hitting the last shot, many of those were on target and that’s the difference when you want to score goals.”

Odegaard brings that creative spark to this Arsenal midfield and it was a very good decision to get a loan deal done for the lad that is for sure.
