OFFICIAL announcement made – Chelsea reveal £350k-a-week star has made move!

Mauricio Pochettino has continued his Chelsea clear-out with striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang completing his move to Marseille.

CHELSEA have already seen several high-profile players leave the club this summer. Kai Havertz, Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic have all found new homes in the Premier League.

Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy and N’Golo Kante have moved to the Saudi Pro League, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic have both joined AC Milan. Club captain Cesar Azpilicueta has left for Atletico Madrid.

Now Aubameyang is the latest name to pack his bags, jump on a plane and say goodbye to Chelsea forever.

WHAT HAS HAPPED –

Marseille confirmed the signing of the 34-year-old Gabon international on Friday, which brings an end to his miserable time in west London.

Chelsea posted –‘ The Gabon international arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer from Barcelona and went on to make 21 appearances in all competitions for the Blues.

‘He scored three goals for Chelsea, all of which came in the space of ten days in October. Aubameyang struck against Crystal Palace in the Premier League and converted in back-to-back Champions League group stage matches against AC Milan.

‘We would like to thank Pierre and wish him well as he begins the next chapter of his career.’

WILL AUBA BE MISSED?

The short answer is no he will not – he did nothing on his return to the Premier League and was just a massive waste of money for CHELSEA .

The fact that they have allowed him to leave is massive – it will save them £350k-a-week in wages and put an end to Aubameyang time in the Premier League.

Now the Blues should focus on bringing in another forward – they need a proper number striker to lead that attack next season.
