Auba claim made, Arsenal urged to make move and sign Stones, Defender reps arrive in UK for talks, Auba too important to let go

Gabriel reps arrive in uk, Auba claim made, Arsenal urged to make Stones move and Arteta hands fans Aubameyang hope in Arsenal news roundup…

Mikel Arteta insists the FA Cup final will now be Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s last game for Arsenal this season.

Despite being the main man at Arsenal and one of the very best strikers in the game, Arsenal have been unable to tie down the Gabon striker to a new deal at the Emirates and there has been alot of rumours that he could leave the club.

The FA Cup against Chelsea on Saturday could be the very last game that Aubameyang plays in an Arsenal shirt, with claims that he will leave the club if Real Madrid or Barcelona come calling over the next ten weeks.

But despite all the speculation, and despite the fact a new deal has not been struck, Arteta has opene dup and claimed that the FA Cup will not be the final Arsenal game for his star man, he told the Sky Sports website: “I don’t have that feeling.

“It’s a package at the end, you need to have a lot of ingredients on the table to persuade a player of his level to be at this football club.

“It is a massive day. I wouldn’t like to talk or link too much these two factors but it’s a reality obviously that financially it would be really helpful and obviously from the sporting side as well to play in Europe for this club is a must.

“Don’t forget that he still has a contract here with us and we want to keep him and do it in a more long term but at the moment he is with us and I think he should be really proud of where he is as well.”

Representatives of Arsenal target Gabriel Magalhaes are in the UK talking with two Premier League clubs about a potential move to England.

There is some speculation in the media that Mikel Arteta will be handed the kind of funds he needs to improve the side in the summer, and will look to bring in another defender in order to help improve that dodgy back-line.

The Lille defender’s performances in Ligue 1 have attracted plenty of interest from other high bidders in Europe over the past few seasons, and considering the Gunners still need to improve the summer transfer window, he has has been added to that list.

And according to reports on the Sky Sports website have claimed that the representatives of the Brazilian is now in the UK talking to prospective clubs about a move to England in the summer.

However, Arsenal are not the only club interested as Both Everton and Manchester United are also interested in the player, who would cost around €30m.

Gabriel has taken his time to make a decision but the player is expected to decide his future in the next couple of days as he is waiting to see the offers that will come over the next few days.

Look, Arsenal need to add another defender to the side and if they do not manage to acquire the services of Gabriel, then it will be very interesting to wee which player Arteta signs in order to help improve the side.

Arsenal need to “take a chance” on John Stones and join West Ham in the race for the Manchester City centre-half, says Ray Parlour.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has one of the best squads in the game right now and is tipped to add another centre-back to his squad this summer, with reports that Nathan Ake is all set to join the club.

And that has led to some speculation in the media suggesting that he will need to offload a defender this transfer window to make room for a possible signing, with Stones one player tipped to leave the club.

A relatively inexperienced Mikel Arteta has offered cause for optimism through the early months of his reign, but is considered to have a sizeable rebuilding job on his hands, and Parlour claiming that Stones could be the perfect choice at a relatively reasonable price.

The former Gunners winger told talkSPORT: “That would be a great deal for West Ham if they could get John Stones for £20 million.

“Especially when you look at Nathan Ake who is going to City for £40m…

“Arsenal are desperate for a centre-half, so why don’t they take a chance and try to put in a bid for Stones?

“He’s had a bad time in recent years and he hasn’t really gone to where City thought he might go to, but you don’t become a bad defender overnight, he just needs a bit of coaching.

“And that’s where it could be key with Arsenal, because obviously Arteta has worked with him over the last few years at Man City.

“But if West Ham could get him for that price it would be a great deal, an absolutely brilliant deal.”

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is “an important one to keep” for Arsenal, says former Gunners defender Kolo Toure.

Toure, a member of Arsenal’s ‘Invincibles’ title-winning team of 2003-04, says Aubameyang has shown the qualities needed to be a leader and that his continued presence will be crucial for the Gunners going forward.

“He’s a top player. I saw him grow. I can see that he’s matured now,” Toure told Stats Perform News. “You can see as a captain he’s a leader, leading by example. He’s very focused. He’s working hard for the team.

“He’s a great captain and a great example. It’s really easy to talk but what are you showing us? Are you willing to fight for every ball? That’s what [Steven] Gerrard, [Patrick] Vieira, those great captains did.

“He’s an important one to keep.”

Auba is a world class striker that has big goals and is he cannot see himself achieving that at Arsenal then he should leave, even if the club offer him a crazy amount of money to stay.

Arsenal need a back-up plan because they cant do another Mesut Ozil and pay over-the-top wages, they should not want to keep a player at the club that is there for all the wrong reasons.

Auba is an important player to keep, but not if he wants to leave.
