Guys here is a roundup of the latest Chelsea news, gossip and transfer rumours from icfootballnews.com

Reports have claimed Chelsea are in contact with Porto about a summer transfer deal for Alex Telles.

The world is currently gripped by the Coronavirus outbreak that is shutting down pretty much every aspect of life, which has meant that there has not been much news to report coming out of the Stamford Bridge.’

But Frank Lampard knows that he needs to improve the side if he wants to get back inside the top four and then push on to challenge for a Premier League title and Champions League crown.

And one area of concern for the Blues is the defence, as it is not good enough to challenge the big boys in Europe, so Lampard is reportedly keen to sort that issues out with the possible signing of Telles, who has been very impressive for Porto over the last few seasons.

Recent reports in Portugal claim Porto are ready to sell their star defender this summer in order to avoid losing him for free at the end of the 2020/21 campaign, and the report goes on to suggest that Chelsea are now ready to make their move

And reports on the Daily Express have now come out and claimed that Chelsea are in contact with the Portuguese giants about a possible £37 million deal for the attacking minded left-back.

Look, Chelsea have to focus on getting back on that training ground right now and hope that the season can be finished off so they are able to get back inside the Champions League places for next season.

European Football expert Gabriele Marcotti has claimed Chelsea should sign Jadon Sancho and not Leon Bailey in the summer.

There has been alot of speculation in the media suggesting that Chelsea are willing to splash around £85 million in the summer to try and acquire the services of Bailey, who has become one of the most exciting wingers in the Bundesliga over the last few seasons.

Frank Lampard is keen to bolsters his squad at the end of the season and improve the side enough to get back challenging for that Premier League title, and also as a possible replacement for the likes of Willian and Pedro. who have been tipped to leave the club at the end of the season.

However, Marcotti has opened up and claimed that Chelsea should not pay £85 million to sign Bailey in the summer and instead try and acquire the services of Sancho, who is one of the most creative players in the game right now and has already netted an impressive 14 goals in the Bundesliga this season.

Marcotti does not think Sancho would cost much more than Bailey and therefore says he would be a better signing for Chelsea: “Alright, with all respect to Leon Bailey I think these numbers are crazy,” Marcotti told ESPN FC.

“£85m for Leon Bailey when Jadon Sancho, who is younger and a lot more talented in my opinion, can be had for not much more than that…

“Personally I see this as one of those stories that gets put out there, obviously Chelsea are chasing Jadon Sancho along with a host of other clubs, and all of sudden these stories go out ‘Oh but what if they went for Bailey instead?’ and maybe that lights a fire under some people.

“But for me I don’t see it, I wouldn’t spend that kind of money on Leon Bailey.”

Chelsea will find it difficult to sign Dean Henderson from Manchester United in the summer, claims Football European expert Gabriele Marcotti.

There has been alot of transfer speculation in the media suggesting that Frank Lampard is keen to sign a new stopper in the summer transfer window as he has not been impressed by the performances of Kepa, who has struggled between the sticks.

And that has led to some speculation in the media suggesting that Chelsea are ready to make a move and try to bring in Henderson from United, as there is some talk in the media suggesting that he is still on a new deal at Old Trafford.

But when asked between Henderson and another transfer target Victor Onana, Marcotti said a deal for the Ajax man would be easier to complete for the Blues.

“I think first of all let me say Kepa played the last few games, including the game against Everton in the league,” Marcotti told ESPN FC

“It looks like the worst is over there in terms of the relationship between him and Lampard.

“And I think also from Chelsea’s perspective, I think they only give up on Kepa, if the relationship with Lampard is indeed healed and it looks that way, if they have a buyer. They’re not going to keep him on the bench.

“I think it’s very hard because most top clubs aren’t looking for a goalkeeper right now.

“That said, if you had to pick between Henderson and Onana, I would lean Henderson
