£35M star responds to reports Arsenal are interested in summer move

PSV Eindhoven star Johan Bakayoko has dismissed rumours linking him with a move to Arsenal this summer.

The transfer window will give Mikel Arteta the chance to keep on adding to his squad over the next few months and start to add some more depth to the squad, along with a bit more quality in key areas of the pitch.

A new defender, midfielder, striker and possibly a stopper will need to get signed this summer transfer window – and with the backing of the board – ARSENAL have been linked with some big time players already over the past few weeks.

Bakayoko is currently representing Belgium at Euro 2024, and before his national side were knocked out the competition by France, revealed that he has no intention of leaving PSV this summer window.

He said: “I never said I want to leave PSV, others have done that in my place. If something comes up, you have to think about it, but now is not the time. I’m not thinking about a transfer here, I’m thinking about how I can do my best here,” he said.

“I have to be honest. I’m more concerned with playing more here than a transfer. I’m thinking about how I can do my best even more or prove myself to the coach even more. That transfer, that’s for after [the Euros].”

Bakayoko had a solid season for PSV last year and it it is easy to see why the Gunners are keen on a transfer deal – but if he wants to stay put – there is no point in signing a player that doesnt want to move.

ARSENAL have many targets – we are sure that they will move on from the Bakayoko rumours quickly.
