Balague opens up and has big Arsenal update on January deal for Suarez

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague claimed Denis Suarez is not a priority signing for Arsenal this January.

After months of speculation, reports in the media over the past few days suggested that it would be Arsenal who wins the race for Suarez after he reportedly decided he wants to leave the Spanish Champions after failing to make any sort of an impact on the starting line-up.

Reports have claimed that Emery is keen to link-up with the young Spaniard, after news broke that Aaron Ramsey is leaving the clunb to sign with Seria A Champions Juventus.

But the Gunners have a terrible defensive record this season having shipped 31 goals in 21 Premier League games, and Balague says the Emirates outfit would rather spend money on shoring up their backline rather than on Suarez.

“Denis Suarez wants to go to Arsenal or to stay at Barcelona,” he said on his YouTube channel.

“But there’s a problem with that. Barcelona want to get money for him.

“And Arsenal only want to take him on loan because they’ve got other priorities.

“While they do want a midfielder, Unai Emery wants centre-backs – one or two.

“So with that in mind, Denis Suarez is not a total priority.

“But he is desperate to leave Barca. He has offers from Napoli, Sevilla, Valencia, West Ham and Watford.

“But they all want him on loan. But Barcelona want a decision this week, as soon as possible.

“They will not accept a loan deal right now, unless there is an obligation to buy him at the end of it.”

Do Arsenal need Suarez?

Although they are losing Ramsey to Juventus, Arsenal ahve enough cover right now to deal without Ramsey and they should focus on signing defensive players that will improve the back-line.
