Newcastle told impressive Nagelsmann could be arriving, who Klopp and Guardiola both love
Guillem Balague believes that RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann could be in the running to sign with Newcastle United.
Newcastle are once again in the transfer headlines on a daily basis about possible arrivals and possible departures, as it seems that every player in the game is now a target as their takeover draws ever closer.
Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund is expected to buy the Magpies from Mike Ashley, and despite the deal not being completed yet, the club are starting to throw around their newly-acquired financial heft.
There has been alot of talk about possible signings that will get the club out of mediocrity and underachievement while under the guidance of Mike Ashley, with reports suggesting that any new boss will have around £300 million to spend on new players.
Mauricio Pochettino, Rafa Benitez and even Max Allegri have all been linked with a move to Newcastle, But Spanish football expert Balague has opened up and claimed Julian Nagelsmann could be in the running for that job.
“The plan has been, until the big appearance of Newcastle, to stay put and wait for an opportunity to arise,” Balague said on his YouTube channel.
“I know, and we all know, that Pochettino has become the number one target for Newcastle – we all know that.
“What I know for sure is that Pochettino, Rafa Benitez and Allegri are the three names on the table for Newcastle. They want to convince one of them or Nagelsmann. Of course, ambitious as they are, they want one of those four… Nagelsmann I think is very happy in Germany.”
Nagelsmann has already built quite a reputation for himself by making Rb one of the most exciting, entertaining and hard-working sides in Europe right now, and has done that with a small transfer budget, and has also impressed both Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola
He is a man that Newcastle could build something with, the only risk would be that he would be coming to a League that could ruin careers, and that is not what Newcastle need.
It will be interesting to see just whom Newcastle bring in if they get taken over, but this young man is certainly a very good option for the club.
