Balague has £145m Coutinho message for Chelsea and Manchester United

La Liga expert Guillem Balague has admitted Chelsea and Manchester United target Phillipe Coutinho will not be leaving Barcelona.

The former Liverpool man has fallen behind Alex Vidal and Ousmane Dembele in his struggle for first XI action, and there has been a lot of speculation that he will look to leave Barcelona in the coming weeks.

Both Chelsea and United have reportedly shown an interest in trying to sign the Brazilian star, with reports both have made contact about a possible £100 million transfer deal.

But Balague summed the speculation up by admitting that Coutinho is very unhappy, but he will not be leaving the Camp Nou.

He said: “Can I just describe those rumours in one word? Rubbish.

“There is absolutely nothing in it.

“Yes certainly he’s had to fight for his place and he’s not happy about the fact that he’s not a regular at Barcelona.

“But who is to blame? Himself. His performances have not been not been at the level that we’ve seen in the past.

“His chance creation is the lowest that it has been in eight years.

“Ousmane Dembele is well ahead of him and that was said by Valverde’s assistant at the weekend.

“Valverde said if he’s unhappy and wants to be in the first XI he must show me in training.

“Coutinho to Manchester United, Coutinho returning to the Premier League, Coutinho to PSG? It’s absolute rubbish.”

Would the right offer tempt Coutinho away from Barcelona?

Coutinho does not want to leave the Spanish Champions and they do not want to sell, but if Chelsea, PSG or United make the right offer then yes Barcelona will sell on as every player has their price in the game.
