Balague opens up on Man United’s possible £120 million Koulibaly deal

Manchester United signing Kaldiou Koulibaly from Napoli this summer will be tricky, according to Guillem Balague.

With United seeking to add some much needed world class players to the squad over the course of the next few months, there has been a lot of speculation in the media over the past few months which have suggested the Red Devils are keen to sign up Koulibaly.

The United back-line have simply not been good enough this season and it cost the club the chance to get back inside the top four, meaning that United will have to spend another season in the Europa League.

But even though United will have the money to complete a transfer deal for Koulibaly, Balague has claimed that any kind of deal for the Red Devils will be tricky.

“Koulibaly is obviously a target for Manchester United,” he said on his YouTube channel. “Not just for Manchester United.

“Napoli are saying 120million euros but generally they do not want to sell.

“That figure, it’s a figure they may sit down on the table for but it comes a company with the line they do not want to sell.

“So they’re not in a rush to do so and it will have to be for a lot of money.

“Now Manchester United will have to look for players who suit the style Solskjaer wants.

“Koulibaly will want to go to a place he can win the league. Why leave Napoli otherwise?

“He earns enough money, he’s well considered, so why jump.”

Now there will be a lot of transfer speculation in the media over the next few months as United need to improve a number of key areas of the pitch to even get back inside the to four next season.

So if they are serious about challenging Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title again, then they will need to splash the cash and meet the valuation of Napoli, even if it is a little expensive for the defender.

But how many top-class defenders are there left in the game that are as good as Koulibaly? not many we suggest.
