Zidane will sell Bale, Rashford in talks over £150,000-a-week deal, Pires has Emery message in Arsenal Wednesday news and gossip

Here is the daily roundup of Chelsea news, gossip and transfer talk from icfootballnews

Liverpool and Arsenal are set to suffer a blow in their chase for Marcus Rashford, as he is all set to sign a new deal with Manchester United.

Rashford has endured a difficult season this year for United, having fallen out of favour with former United boss Jose Mourinho, who claimed that the Englishman didnt have the ability to score goals on a regular basis.

His frustrations on the pitch and with Mourinho led to speculation that the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool could swoop in and offer him a way out of Old Trafford with an offer in excess of £100 million, with reports suggesting both clubs are extremely interested in a potential deal.

However, the England international has played a starring role since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge, and the Daily Express website has claimed he is now set to sign a big United deal that will double his current salary to around £150,000-a-week.

United hope the offer of a new deal with stave off interest from the continent, with the Englishman in his final 18-months of his current deal.

Reports have claimed Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is looking to offload Manchester United and Arsenal target Gareth Bale in the summer transfer window.

After getting knocked out the Champions league in such spectacular fashion by Dutch giants Ajax, Madrid finally made the decision to get rid of Santiago Scolari after he failed to help get the side back into the habit of winning games and replace him with former boss Zidane.

Zidane left the Bernabeu at the end of last season after guiding the Spaniards to a third successive Champions League title, but made a sensational return to the club and will now look to offload a number of players that have failed to produce the goods this season.

And according to Spanish Publication AS, Zidane is keen to sell Welshman Bale as the winger has failed to hit the heights that many expected after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo when he left for Juventus in the summer transfer window.

However, both Arsenal and United will have a hard time trying to complete a transfer deal as Bale is the highest paid player at the Spaniards and any club will have to fork out over £500,000-a-week and over £150 million to sign Bale.

Gunners legend Robert Pires has admitted he has been impressed by Unai Emery’s first season in charge at Arsenal.

Emery was the shock replacement for legend Arsene Wenger when the Frenchman decided to pack his bags and leave the club at the end of last season, and so far the Spaniard has had a mixed time of it in charge of the Gunners.

Arsenal are just about still in the chase for a top four spot and are still looking to win the Europa league, a trophy that Emery has won on numerous occasions with Spanish giants Sevilla.

Asked to rate Emery’s first season at the Emirates, having succeeded Arsene Wenger last summer, Arsenal hero Pires told Marca: ‘I think he is doing well.

‘They are in the top four and I think they can qualify for next season’s Champions League.

‘I think, and I hope, that he can win the Europa League, as he won it three times with Sevilla.

‘So he has a lot of experience and knows there is good quality and a good squad. I think he has built a good team and they are now ready to fight for the end of the season.’
