Agent confirms £600,000-a-week superstar is leaving Madrid – next stop Premier League and Arsenal?

Real Madrid forward And shock Arsenal target Gareth Bale will leave the club at the end of the season, with a move back to the Premier League most likely for the Wales international.

After a much-beleaguered nine years in the Spanish capital with a transfer fee that broke English football records, Gareth Bale’s contract with Real Madrid is finally up in the summer.

Despite helping himself to many goals and alot of titles, fans have never really taken to him and speculation surrounding his desire to play in the Premier League has once again hit the headlines.

Bale did spend some time with Tottenham last season, but the club failed to agree a permanent move as the Welshman wanted to return to Madrid and have one more crack at the first team under Carlo Ancelotti

However, he has failed to make any sort of an impact on the side and there has been some speculation in the media which have suggested that Arsenal may actually be interested in a possible deal

The Gunners have a very exciting young squad – and it is belived that Mikel Arteta would like to add a bit more experience to the side – add players that have played at the very highest level of the game

Now – his agent Jonathan Barnett has opened up and confirmed that he will be leaving the Spaniards in the summer and a move back to the Premier League is his most likely destination.

“He will leave Real Madrid, but we have to wait for what Wales will be able to do [in their Qatar 2022 qualifiers],” Barnett was quoted by Record.

“It all depends on whether Wales qualify for the World Cup, then we will make a decision, which may vary whether or not Wales go to the World Cup.

“Is it more likely to return to England? I think so, but we’ll have to wait and see if Wales qualifies for the World Cup.”

Bale has been there – done it all and got the Champions League titles to prove it – but it has been a shock to see that Arsenal have been linked

He would add experience to the side and could be a decent squad member – but we cant see him arriving at the Emirates – not with his pay demands
