History breakers! Balague has Pochettino message for Man United

Guillem Balague has told Manchester United they will have to make a big offer to sign Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino is regarded as one of the finest coaches in world football after turning Spurs into one of the Premier League’s biggest sides, but there has been a lot of speculation in the media that United and Real Madrid are keen to try and prise him away from Spurs at the end of the season.

Madrid have had a poor start and know they must make a few changes if they are to get back into the habit of winning La Liga, while United have been long-term admirers of the Argentine and would love to add him to the squad if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer cannot deliver Champions League football and some silverware.

But Balague has admitted that Spurs are in no rush to let Pochettino go and United, or Madrid, will have to make the Argentine one of the highest paid coaches in history to acquire his services.

He told The Sport Review: “There is no update. He has got a contract with Spurs.

“There is no direct clause, so if anybody wants him, they are going to have to convince Daniel Levy.

“If anybody wants to go for him, they will have to make him the most expensive manager in history.”

Could United acquire the services of Pochettino.

Pochettino is clearly one of the best managers in the game and Spurs are lucky that he is enjoying being coach of the club, but if the right offer does arrive in the summer window, then it could be all change as the Argentine has ambitions to pick up some silverware.

Levy is a smart man but even he does business if the right money is offered.
