Pirlo on ‘complete’ Ramsey, Emery urged to sell Ozil, Banega in town for talks in Arsenal Saturday news

Here is the daily roundup of Arsenal, news, gossip and transfer seculation from IcFootballnews.com

Former Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo has called claimed Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey would be a good signing for Juventus.

Ramsey is out of contract at the Emirates at the end of the season after spending more than a decade at the club, but with the Gunners un-prepared to offer the Welshman the contract he wants, no deal could be agreed.

It is believed Ramsey demanded the same kind of wages as Mesut Ozil, believed to be around £300,000-a-week, but the Gunners were only ready to go as high as £220,000-a-week.

That has led to speculation that Manchester United could be interested in taking him to Old Trafford at the end of the season, but with Jose Mourinho no longer in charge, their interested in Ramsey has faded.

And that opened the door for Juventus to show an interest, with recent reports claiming the Italian Champions have been working on a deal to sign the Wales international in the January window.

Now they have been urged to make a move for Ramsey, as Pirlo claims he would be a fantastic buy for the Champions.

“He is a talented player,” Pirlo told Sky in Italy.

“He is a complete player who can do pretty much everything. And he scores a lot.

“Ramsey is a great purchase.”

Reports have claimed the agent of Ever Banega is in London to discuss a possible January move to Arsenal.

With Gunners boss Unai Emery looking to carry on puuting his own spin on the team and freshen up the squad, he is reportedly keen to add to his squad after acquiring the services of Bernd Leno, Sokratis, Stephen Lichsteiner, Matero Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira during the summer transfer window.

Reports that Aaron Ramsey is beng linked up for a big move to French Champions PSG, recent reports in the mecdia have claimed Emery is eager to bring in the £18 million rated midfielder, to help enhance his chase for Champions League football.

Now Mundo Deportivo say Banega’s agent is currently in London, where he will seek talks with Arsenal, with the Sevilla tempted by the prospect of linking up with his former boss in the Premier League.

The 29-year-old’s pedigree is well-established having played for Boca Juniors, Valencia and Sevilla and his high-energy style could work well for Emery at the Emirates Stadium.

Paul Merson has claimed Arsenal must sell Manchester United target Mesut Ozil as the German is stopping world class players from signing.

The German is by far the highest paid player at the Emirates after agreeing a deal last season in excess of £300,000-a-week, which many believe is far too much for the midfielder considering he has not put in enough good performances to earn such a big wage.

That has led to alot os speculation that Arsenal may look to offload the German in the coming windows, as he does not fit the playing style of Unai Emery and getting his wages off the books would free up enough money to land two world class players.

And with United keeping a close eye on his situation at the Emirates, Merson has told his former club that they need to get rid of Ozil in order of landing a couple of big named players.

Merson said on the Daily Express website: “Arsenal have got to get rid of Mesut Ozil.

“They need his wages off the books because he is giving them nothing at the moment.

“He is also a problem because while he’s there it’s going to stop Arsenal signing any really world-class players.

“Any big-name £80-90m star is going to want to be the highest-paid player at the club, but that can’t happen with Ozil on that much money. Arsenal can’t afford it.”
