Barcelona have offered Frenchman to Arteta, Will Arsenal fans welcome Italian after talks opened up, £22 million Spaniard has made final Arsenal decision
Ceballos has made Arsenal decision, Gunners offered Umtiti, Would fans welcome Sarri after talks opened? in Arsenal roundup…
Reports have claimed that Arsenal target Samuel Umtiti has been offered to the Premier League by Barcelona.
It is no secret that Barcelona are one of the greatest teams in world football right now and are only a handful of sides that are able to pay massive wages to superstars like Lionel Messi, Gerard Pique and Antoine Griezmann.
However, it is no secret that Barcelona are a club that are in debt and they will be looking to offload a number of players in the summer transfer window in order to generate some funds in order to sign their own transfer targets.
And according to reports on the Sky Sports website, they no longer wish to keep hold of Umtiti and have offered him to the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea for a bargain price of just £20 million.
umtiti is rated very highly across Europe and has been linked with a move to the Premier League on many occasions, but he has tried to prove that he has the ability to be a Barcelona player, without really being given a real shot at that chance.
If the reports is true and Barcelona are being forced to sell some players this transfer window, or the next, then there are a few players that Arsenal should try and acquire that would make a serious statement to the rest of the Premier League.
Umtiti may not be playing his best football at Barcelona, but at the right club, he could be a massive signing and if Arsenal do decide to pay £20 million to get a deal done, he would be well worth the money.
Arteta needs to start adding proven big time players to his squad.
Dani Ceballos has reportedly decided he wants to leave Arsenal this summer and hopes to return to Spain.
The Spanish ace starred in the Gunners’ FA Cup triumph last season which earned him a second loan move back to the Emirates, as Mikel Arteta was eager to keep hold of the deep-lying midfielder.
However, he has not had the best of seasons back at the club this year and has been in and out of the Gunners squad, with the impressive Thomas Partey taking his place in the side when the powerhouse is fit.
But there has ben alot of speculation that Arsenal will still try and make his move Permanent, with many reports suggesting that Madrid want just £22 million to sell the Spanish midfielder in the transfer window.
However, El Confidencial reports the midfielder is ‘increasingly clear’ he will not remain in England next season.
The report adds He has accepted he has no future at Real Madrid but feels his playing style is better suited to football in his home country and he will seek a return.
Look, Ceballos has played 39 times for Arsenal this season and has barely made any real impact on that first-team, so the news that he wants to go back to Spain will not come as a massive shock to many Arsenal fans.
But if he goes go back, fans will wish him the best of luck and just hope that the board hand the clubs manager some funds in order to add a midfielder to the squad that add both goals and assists to the side.
That is something that Ceballos has been unable to do this season.
Shock reports have claimed Arsenal have begun talks with former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri about replacing Mikel Arteta at the Emirates.
Mikel Arteta came to the Emirates with a big reputation in the game after working closely with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, and big things were expected after he led the club to that shock FA Cup win last season.
However, Arteta’s fate may now be riding on the Europa League, where they can still secure Champions League qualification by winning the competition should they get past Villarreal and beat Manchester United or Roma in the final.
And According to an exclusive report from Football Italia, Arsenal have now initiated talks with Sarri about becoming their manager next season.
Sarri has been waiting patiently for a chance to return to the dug-out but is yet to commit to a new project, but after Roma moved quickly to wrap up the surprise appointment of Jose Mourinho from the start of next season, he is no seeking a move back to the Premier League.
It is also claimed that Arteta is expected to be moved on at the end of the campaign, despite the club’s commitment to a long-term vision.
The Spaniard is adamant he has received assurances that he will get time but Arsenal’s lack of progress in the Premier League has raised alarm bells.
This is a stunning story that will shock many Arsenal fans that are massive fans of Arteta. But if you look at the overall picture at the club, Arteta has not done the job that many had hoped.
The club are well down the Premier League, went out early in the domestic cups and he is only still in a job because of that Europa League run, so he could go.
But is Sarri the right man?
