Fans told midfielder wanted Arsenal deal, Gunners in contact to sign Italian, Coutinho message sent, Midfielder tells Arsenal he wants summer move
Ramsey wanted deal, Arsenal in Barella contact, Coutinho message sent, Torreira wants out in Arsenal roundup..
Now, we all know that Arsenal have been in the headlines ALOT over the past few months and many fans are getting exciting about the prospect of some top players arriving over the next few months.
Mikel Arteta is no fool, he knows that he needs to sort this squad out, he knows that he needs ti improve in key areas of the pitch, and he knows that he needs the backing of the board to get the signings that he wants.
And with reports suggesting that Mesut Ozil could be departing the club when the summer transfer window opens up, there has been alot of speculation about whom could replace the German when HE FINALLY packs his bags, with Barella now on the list.
The star came through the ranks at hometown club Cagliari and moved to the San Siro on a year-long loan deal with an obligation to buy with a four-year permanent contract kicking in thereafter.
His performances for the Italian giants have led to alot of speculation that Premier League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool are eyeing up a potential deal in the summer, meaning that Arsenal would have a battle on their hands.
But Mikel Arteta is keen to try and bring the 23-year-old to the Emirates once the summer window opens, and has already contacted the Italians about a possible deal, worth around the £35 million mark.
Barella is rated very highly in the game and In late 2018, Pirlo opened up and announced that he believes that Barella is one of the best players in Italy right now, he said of Barella: “He is one of the best players in Italy. So in the national team he has to play.”
Aaron Ramsey wanted to sign a new deal at Arsenal but didn’t feel valued “financially” by the club, says recently-axed former boss Unai Emery.
Ramsey was in talks over a new deal for months, but simply could not come to some sort of agreement at the club as very high wages, and rumours he would not be part of Unai Emery’s plans at the Emirates, meant he was able to agree a pre-contract agreement with Juventus in January.
And he announced that he would be making that big move to Juventus, after agreeing a four-and-a-half year deal with the Champions for a wage of around £325,000-a-week.
He spent 11 years with Arsenal after joining the Gunners as a teenager from Cardiff and, will go down in history as one of the club’s greatest midfielders having scored two FA Cup final winning goals.
Now Emery has come out and told the Arsenal fans that Ramsey actually wanted to stay at the club, he told The Guardian: “[Initially] he wanted to stay.
“He needed to negotiate a new contract and they didn’t reach an agreement. The club had doubts about renewing for a certain sum.
“Ramsey wanted to feel valued. It was a financial matter; I can’t get involved. And I still didn’t know him well when I arrived. He’s important but I can’t say what they should pay him.”
Ramsey has been recently linked with a move back to the Premier League in the summer, with reports suggesting that Manchester United are interested in bringing him from Juventus in a deal worth around £40-50 million.
Lucas Torreira wants to leave Arsenal and return to Italy this summer, according to the Uruguayan midfielder’s agent.
Torreira completed a £26million move from Sampdoria to Arsenal last summer and the 23-year-old had a promising debut season in north London, making 50 appearances in all competitions.
But so far this season the 23-year old has struggled to kick on after his great first season and has only managed to start a handful of games under the guidance of Mikel Arteta, with suggestion she is not happy with life in the English game.
That has led to ALOT of speculation in the media suggesting that Italian giants AC Milan are ready to try and take him back to Serie A football in the summer, believing the conronavirus could mean that Arsenal are forced to sell a number of first team players.
Now it seems that could be the as his agent has come out and revealed that Torreira would love to return to Italian Football: “Lucas had been in a bit of a bad mood over some technical differences, then he recovered,” his representative Pablo Bentancur told TMW.
“And the injury arrived, fortunately less serious than expected. Today he is completely recovered, I believe he will be a market man.
“I will have to speak to Arsenal. The player would love to return to Italy, but it must be acknowledged that Arsenal treated him very well and behaved great.”
The agent of Philippe Coutinho has admitted that talks over a potential Arsenal deal will not take place during the Coronavirus.
There has been alot of transfer speculation, and we mean alot, over the past few months about Arsenal trying to bring the Brazilian star back to the Premier League, with many reports suggesting that he was done at Barcelona and had no future with the club.
And Arsenal are one of the favourites to bring him back to the Premier League, along with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool, who have both been credited with a possible summer deal over the past few months.
But despite all the rumours that Arsenal have already made contact with Barcelona and the agent of Coutinho about a possible transfer deal, Joorabchian has come out and claimed that Coutinho will not talk about any possible moves right now.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Joorabchian said: “Philippe at the moment, he’s at Bayern, but he’s sidelined at the moment.
“He’s had an injury, he had an operation two weeks ago on his ankle and he is six weeks for recovery for that.
“That unfortunately means he’ll probably miss a chunk of the Bundesliga. Hopefully he’ll be fit for the tail end of the season.
“But in terms of the rumours? At the moment we have not spoken to anybody about any deals whatsoever.”
Look, Coutinho is a man that will not want to sit on the bench over at Barcelona next season and will only stay at the club if he is guaranteed to be playing week in and week out, which the Spanish club probably cannot give him.
He will also know that there is alot of interest in his services, meaning that he will have options about where he could go, and if the right offer does come in from the likes of Arsenal, then it could mean that Coutinho could still make a summer move to a new club.
It will be very interesting to see just how this all plays out.
Arsenal fans would love a player like Coutinho in the side, but it would be a massive shock to see him make the move to the Emirates as he could cost alot more than the club would like to pay.
