13-goal star ‘will be perfect’ West Ham signing – fans are told

Gabby Agbonlahor has insisted Leicester star Harvey Barnes would be “perfect” for West Ham ahead of a possible move.

WEST HAM managed to fend off relegation last season and even ended up with a European trophy – but David Moyes knows that he needs to add to his squad this summer transfer window.

Declan Rice is departing the club after all parties agreed that he was now free to leave – and the club will need to replace him over the next few months with signings that will make an impact at the side, and Barnes is a man that has been linked.

Barnes managed a healthy return of 13 goals and three assists in 40 games across all competitions despite Leicester’s relegation.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID – 

Agbonlahor told Football Insider: “He would be an upgrade in that position for West Ham, but Benrahma can move into the number ten role.

“There’s space for both of them in the team. The fans want to see attacking football.

“They’ve got Europa League football to think about again, so they need numbers and options.

“Wow, it’d be a perfect signing. I want Barnes at Aston Villa, but if he chose West Ham then he’d be a perfect addition to that squad.

“A front three of Barnes, Antonio and Bowen is a really formidable attack.”

WILL BARNES BE A GOOD SIGNING FOR THE HAMMERS?

There is no doubt that Barnes is a decent Premier League performer – a man that can impress at times – but also go missing in the games that matter.

WEST HAM need to do some business and signing Premier League stars is a very good decision – He will be a good addition if the club can get him for the right price and if they can keep him playing at the level that netted him 13 goals last season
