Liverpool are free to sign trophy-Laiden Bundesliga star for just £43 million
Bayern Munich slapped a €50 million (£43m/$54m) price tag on left-back and long-term Liverpool target Alphonso Davies after
Liverpool have started in fine fashion this season and look like a side that will have a real possibility to challenge Manchester City for that Premier League title.
But the January transfer window is only a few months away and it will give Jurgen Klopp a real chance to improve the squad, add some more depth and send a real statement of intent for the rest of the season.
Alphonso Davies is a player that has the ability to play in a number of positions, and has been on the radar of LIVERPOOL for quite a few seasons, but they have never been able to get a transfer deal done.
However Davies is open to leaving Bayern Munich for the capital club in the coming transfer windows, a year before his contract expires, and Bayern are open to letting him leave the club.
It has been claimed on the Goal website that Bayern are now asking for just £43 million to left the versatile left-back leave the club, which has caught the attentions of many top clubs.
IcFootballnews Opinion…
We are sure that Klopp will delve into that transfer kitty during the January window as he knows a few injuries to key players could scupper their great start to the new Premier League season.
Davies is a man that they have wanted in the past, and although their interest has wavered in recent windows, if they is an opportunity to land the man for a bargain, it could be a smart move to make.
He has the ability to play in a number of positions and is proven at the top level – so could be a solid addition to that Reds squad.
