Van De Beek will be a great signing, representatives fly in to complete United deal, Solskjaer needed to sign Dutchman, Kante for £60 million?
Van De Beek will be great signing, Telles deal close, United needed to sign Van De Beek, Kante for £60 million in Manchester United roundup…
Manchester United have been told that Chelsea star Ngolo Kante would cost £60 million this summer.
Chelsea have been in the headlines alot over the past few weeks about all the players that are coming into the club, and Frank Lampard has put together a very exciting side for the start of the new season.
But there has also been some shock reports in the Media suggesting that Kante could be put up for sale this summer, with many reports in Italy suggesting that Inter Milan are keen to wrap up some sort of deal.
But Manchester United have also been linked with a possible move as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seeks to add some protection to that back-line, and they have now found out the price it would cost to secure a transfer deal for Kante.
Calciomercato claim Inter Milan will rival the Red Devils for France international Kante, but both clubs will have to splash the cash if they want to sign Kante, as Chelsea have set a £60m asking price.
Manchester United needed to sign Donny van de Beek this summer window, says Mark Bosnich.
United have been in the headlines alot this transfer window, but their transfer business has not been that impressive and Van De Beek is the only real signing that the club have made this summer.
Other sides had been sniffing around Van de Beek, with Real Madrid putting a deal in place at one stage, but the 23-year-old’s potential is now set to benefit United, and Bosnich believes opportunities should always be snapped up when they present themselves.
Former United goalkeeper Bosnich told Sky Sports: “I know there are not many in, but it’s not through lack of trying.
“There are rumours flying about that they might get another centre-back in as well before the start of the season.
“The Van de Beek signing is absolutely fantastic. He is truly a quality midfielder.
“A lot of people are saying ‘we’ve got so many midfielders’, but you can’t have enough in terms of quality options if you want to challenge on four fronts – which is exactly what they want to do.
“It also gives Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a lot of options of how to play his team. Remember last season some of his best results came in games against the bigger clubs, like against Manchester City and Chelsea.
“In those games he was relying on being on the counter attack a little bit because of the personnel that he had but with Van de Beek and some of the others that they have signed, he can change the way of playing and be on the front foot – which is what Manchester United are used to. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was used to that as a player and the fans are accustomed to it.
“Jadon Sancho is obviously one that has got away – he might still sign, we don’t know about that – but it’s still been a good transfer window, in my opinion.”
Darren Fletcher reckons Donny van de Beek will be a great addition for Manchester United – because he’s considered a decent chap
Van De Beek has been in the transfer headlines for well over 12 months now after becoming one of the players that have helped Ajax get back to the very top of the game and challenging for the biggest trophies.
However, it was Manchester United who swooped in at the very last minute and convinced the Dutchman to make a transfer move to Old Trafford, despite Real Madrid and Tottenham trying their hardest to get a deal done.
And after his summer move, Fletcher reckons van de Beek will be a great addition for United, The Scot told ManUtd.com: “He’s a top-class player and I think he’s a fantastic signing.
“For somebody at his age, for that price, I think it’s a no-brainer.
“I saw him during Ajax’s run to the Champions League semi-finals last season [in 2018/19], he was probably one of the catalysts for that.
“What I like about him is his flexibility in midfield. He understands when he needs to be a No10 and what he has to do and he understands when he has to be a box-to-box midfielder; he’s got that Ajax upbringing in him and is a cultured footballer.
“I just think he’s a great addition and he seems like a great guy as well, given the way he’s been treated since leaving Ajax and how everyone has spoken about him.”
Alex Telles’ representatives have reportedly flown to England to finalise a move to Manchester United, according to reports in Portugal.
It is no secret that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to splash the cash a little more to improve key areas of the pitch and adding a new left-back to the side is high up on his list of things to do this summer.
United may have a very exciting attack that will cause some major damage next season, but there are big areas at the back that need to be sorted and Telles has become a sought after player this summer.
Telles has been very impressive for Port this summer and was heavily tipped to make a move to Chelsea before they managed to secure a transfer deal to sign up the impressive Ben Chilwell.
United have not flown out of the blocks with an offer for the player, but are reportedly closing on on a possible £27 million deal for the player, who is out of contract at Porto next summer.
A Bola explain the deal is so advanced that Telles’ representatives have travelled to Manchester which an aim to conclude a deal. With United’s Premier League opener against Crystal Palace just around the corner, United have a busy week or so ahead of them.
It’s far from ideal bringing players in after the domestic campaign has kicked off, but Solskjaer is reportedly keen to get most of his transfer business done before the start of the season.
If reports are true, he could be a solid addition to the squad as he has proven himself over the last few seasons.
