Arsenal close to £68 million announcement, £250,000-a-week star interested in Arsenal move and Gunners target told to leave Red Devils
Sterling interested Arsenal move, Van De Beek told to leave United and Arsenal close to Vlahovic deal in Arsenal roundup…
Sky Sports pundit Michael Bridge hints that Raheem Sterling might be interested in a move to Arsenal
Regarded as one of the finest attackers in world football, Sterling has established himself under the guidance of Pep Guardiola over the past few seasons, and has become areal source of goals for City.
However, this season he has struggled to score the goals that he has become accustomed to at City, and has even found himself on the bench more often than he would have liked, which did not shock many of us in the media.
That has led to some stunning reports in the media that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is ready to raid his former club and try to bring Sterling to the Emirates, although they would have to beat off the likes of Barcelona to even have a chance of getting a deal done.
The attacker had a good relationship with Mikel Arteta when the latter was a coach at City and Bridge believes this could also make a move to London appealing to the England International.
Bridge told GiveMeSport: “He’s a boy from Brent, so he’s from around north London.
“I think that’s where he likes to be, so Arsenal and Spurs would probably be in for him.
“But does he see that as an option or does he want to have a go abroad?”
If Arsenal could get Sterling he would be great. But the man would cost well over £60 million and would demand a wage of over £250,000-a-week, so can we really see the Gunners pay that amount of money?
However, he is a big time player that has won multiple trophies and scored many goals, he is a superstar in the Premier League and a player that all the top clubs would want
So event though he is not loved by all, the Gunners fans would love to see a signing like him arrive
Arsenal and Fiorentina officials met in London this week to discuss the nuts and bots of a potential deal for 21-year-old striker Dusan Vlahovic
The Gunners may be impressing this season after a slow start to the new campaignb, but there is a strong feeling that Mikel Arteta knows that he still needs to add another striker to that attack, especially as Alexandre Lacazette looks all set to leave
And that has led to alot of speculation that the Gunners boss is determined to try and secure a transfer deal for Vlahovic, after the big centre-forward became the talk of Serie A having gunned in 25 league goals in 2021, more than any other player
The Serbian international, who was born in 2000, rifled home 21 goals in 37 outings in Serie A last term and he’s continued his fine goalscoring form since the start of the new campaign.
Now Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Arsenal are stepping up their efforts to win the race for Vlahovic.
It’s believed Fiorentina CEO Joe Barone and Daniele Prade have been in London this week to meet with the Gunners to discuss a potential deal.
Fiorentina are understood to have told Arsenal they want £68million (€80m) in order to agree to a sale and the Gunners were happy to oblige, permitting they can achieve that figure through add-ons.
If the Gunners are willing to pay £68 million to secure a transfer deal for this young man, why dont they pay that amount of money and get Erling Haaland at the end of the season?
The Gunners need a striker now, but we are not sure they will do any business in the January window
Noel Whelan has claimed Manchester United star and Arsenal target Donny van de Beek “needs to get out now” for the good of his career.
Van De Beek was a big money buy in the summer transfer window after establishing himself as one of the most creative players in Europe with Ajax, but since his move to Manchester, he has struggled to nail down a regular spot in the side.
He cannot get any game time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he lacking confidence and is keen for a move away, which has alerted a number of clubs, including Arsenal Everton Newcastle and Wolves
Now amid the speculation, Whelan insisted the midfielder has looked “average at best” during his limited opportunities in the Man United XI.
“It’s looking very bleak for him at the minute,” he told Football Insider.
“I think he needs to get out now because he’s not getting an opportunity at all.
“When he has come on, he’s been average at best – we’ve not seen the player that Man United bought and other teams wanted.
“I don’t think they’ve gotten the best out of him, at all.
“Getting him out of the club and letting him progress his career is probably in the interest of both parties.
“The only use he has at the moment is for cup competitions. That isn’t enough for a player at his age.
“I think United could be willing to let him go on a permanent deal to get him off the wage bill.”
Look, There is no doubt that Van De Beek is a classy player that should be playing, so If United do not want him and the Gunners make the right offer, they should take him to the Emirates
