Belgian ‘will be exceptional’ Arsenal signing – incoming star a Gunner bargain – Fans told Arsenal signing quality player
Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed –
Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit claims Declan Rice’s £105million move to the Emirates is a “bargain” deal.
Rice is a man that is on his way to ARSENAL after the Gunners made the decision to splash the cash and bring him to the Emirates in a deal that would break all sorts of records.
He is easily regarded as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League and a man that is tipped to become one of the best in the world – but that asking price has become a source of talk in the media.
£105 million for Rice is the fee that has reportedly been agreed, that is without signing on bonuses and the players wages – so he is costing some serious money for Mikel Arteta and Edu.
However – Petit claims that Rice coming in for £105 million is a bargain.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
Petit told SportsJoe: ‘A bargain. You can see the quality he has already at such a young age and his experience.
‘He’s got leadership qualities too and that winning mentality.
‘Leadership is something that has been missing for a lot of years at Arsenal… But I think that Declan Rice is a captain on and off the pitch.
‘The way Declan wants to play, and the way Arteta wants his team to play, I think they will fit perfectly together.’
WILL RICE BE WORTH THE MONEY?
Rice outgrew his time at West Ham – he is ready for a move like this and quite honestly – he is one of the big reasons why the Hammers stayed up and won that European trophy.
Although we believe he is worth such a massive amount of money – he will be a brilliant signing for ARSENAL.
LAVIA CLAIM MADE –
Arsenal target Romeo Lavia would be an “exceptional signing” at the Emirates, claims journalist Ryan Taylor.
Lavia is ‘admired’ by Chelsea’s recruitment team and could be the ideal complement to Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, though he will not come cheap.
Southampton view the former Manchester City starlet as their most sellable asset and will demand as much as £50million for the Belgian teen.
As part of the £12.5m deal that saw him move to the south coast, City included three quite significant clauses, the first of which allows them to match any bid that comes in for the player.
However – The Athletic believes Liverpool are a more likely destination for Romeo Lavia this summer but the Reds will be forced to pay a hefty sum.
However – amid that speculation – Taylor has claimed that he would be a brilliant signing ARSENAL
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
He told Givemesport: “I think Lavia is an exceptional talent. Ultimately, if Mikel Arteta thinks that’s the right route to go down, then I think he’s proven that he should be trusted.
‘I think Lavia would be an exceptional signing.”
WOULD HE REALLY BE A GOOD SIGNING FOR ARSENAL?
Lavia is a very special talent and a lad that has a big future in the game –
£50 million is alot of money to pay for someone that had done nothing in the game and it could be another expensive gamble from the Gunners to make if they do actually pay that amount of cash.
However – we feel that he will not make much of a difference in that ARSENAL side and the Gunners should be looking at a more established player to help close the gap on Man City.
Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber are players that will make an impact – Lavia would not.
TIMBER CLAIM MADE –
Jaap Stam has informed ARSENAL about the quality of incoming signing and Ajax star Jurrien Timber.
The Gunners have been making moves in this summer transfer window and have added players to the side that will bring real quality to the Emirates.
Kai Havertz has arrived from Chelsea on a deal worth £65 million, Declan Rice is the headline signing that ARSENAL are about to make as he is coming to the club for £105 million and Timber is also coming to London.
It has been revealed that the Dutchman is on his way to the club to complete his medical – personal terms and a fee agreed – meaning an announcement is very close to be announced.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
He tells Charles Watts Football:
“In Holland he’s been doing very well. This season due to circumstances he was not as impressive as last season, but you could still see the quality there.
“He’s very comfortable on the ball and he can create that extra man in midfield by carrying the ball forward. He’s very good in his positioning as well, his passing is very accurate and he has good technique. That’s the type of player that we all like in Holland.”
It comes after Former Ajax and Netherlands star Urby Emanuelson says his fellow Dutchman has the potential to become a real star.
WHAT HE SAID –
“The Emirates is the place for me.”
“I know that the Timber family is very good at planning the careers of the brothers.
“I would choose ARSENAL Why? They treat young players very well there. If you see how they deal with [Gabriel] Martinelli, [Martin] Odegaard, and [Bukayo] Saka, they are all guys who are allowed to make mistakes and are made important at the same time.
“Timber has the potential to become the absolute top. That’s why Arsenal would be a good step. Arsenal is growing; they will build on that.”
WILL TIMBER BE A GOOD SIGNING?
The man has played at the top of the game – is proven – is versatile and has the physical ability to cope in the English game – he will most certainly be a very good signing for Arsenal and a man that fans will be happy to see arrive.
