Boehly delighted with Chelsea arrival – £54m star ‘happy to join’ – Big Bellingham claim made

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed –
Chelsea are ‘really close’ to completing the signing of Christopher Nkunku is ‘happy’ to make the move to Stamford Bridge
Graham Potter has reportedly been assured by owner Todd Boehly that he will be given plenty of time to implement his plans for the role.
And that has led to speculation in the media that Chelsea have been keen to secure the services of Nkunku after failing to sign the attacker during the summer transfer window – despite numerous offers
Chelsea have reportedly agreed to bring the player to the Premier League after it was claimed that he has signed a pre-contract agreement with the Blues
Recent reports in the media have claimed that Nkunku has now agreed to join Chelsea at the end of the season – and the Blues have agreed to pay RB Leipzig the £52 million that they have been desiring
Now – amid all the speculation – Fabrizio Romano has opened up and claimed that Nkunku is very interested in completing that big money move to sign with the Blues.
Romano understands that Chelsea will remain cautious until Nkunku signs on the dotted line – but the respected Italian journalist believes the switch from Leipzig is close to being formalised.
Romano told GIVEMESPORT: “Chelsea are careful on this story because they know how the market is working.
“But Nkunku is really close and the player is happy to join Chelsea, so I think there are very good chances of seeing Nkunku as a new Chelsea player in 2023.”

If the reports are true and Chelsea have agreed to sign the player – then he will be a brilliant signing for the club – but also a risk
The Bundesliga is not the Premier League and we have seen many top players struggle – but he is the type of player that could thrive on a challenge
But as we said – if they can get the best out of the lad – he would be a brilliant source of goals for the club that is for sure
Winstanley joins –
Chelsea have appointed Paul Winstanley as director of global talent and transfers after agreeing a “significant” compensation package with Brighton.
Winstanley, who was head of recruitment at the Amex Stadium, joins the Blues as they look to build a “think-tank” of recruiters with the aim of signing the best young talent in the world.
Chelsea had already taken head coach Graham Potter, his number two Billy Reid, assistant coach Bjorn Hamberg, goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts, first-team coach Bruno and Kyle Macaulay from Brighton this season.
And after sealing his move to Stamford Bridge – Winstanley opened up and admitted just how delighted he is with the move
Winstanley said on the club website: “I’m thrilled to be joining Chelsea and to continue working with Graham Potter and his team.
“There is a real sense of excitement and momentum around the new ownership and this project. I’m looking forward to working with such an outstanding group of colleagues as the club moves into a new era.”
Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly and co-controlling owner Behdad Eghbali said: “Paul is going to be a great addition to Chelsea.
“He’s highly respected and is a key senior addition as we continue to build a world-class sporting team with a huge depth of talent, ambition and commitment who will work closely with us to drive Chelsea forward.
“Paul shares our philosophy and will fit seamlessly into the organisation.”

Since the arrival of the new owners at the club – they have been looking to get rid of the old regime of Roman Abramovic – so it will be interesting to see just what Winstanley does at Stamford Bridge
Bellingham claim made –
Chelsea have been handed a fresh update in their mission to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham – and reporter Iomie Stanley has claimed that he would be a great signing
Bellingham was the subject of interest from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, but Dortmund made it clear they wouldn’t entertain any sale for one of their most impressive performers
However – it is widely believed that all the big clubs will be eyeing up a possible deal for Bellingham during the January window – rather than getting into a big time summer battle next summer
Ted Boehly has been keen to prove that Chelsea are at the front of the queue to sign the England international from Borussia Dortmund as he looks set to leave the Bundesliga giants in the coming windows
As quoted by ESPN, Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke claimed that the German side can not rival the wages being which other top-flight European sides can offer.
He said: “We will hold talks now, as soon as [the World Cup in] Qatar is over, and then we’ll have a fundamental talk about what he would like.
“He just needs to tell us if he’d like to stay or if he’d like to go. In both cases we’ll talk about it very pleasantly and reasonably together.
“In general we can imagine that he’d stay with us, but we can’t behave as if this topic wasn’t on the table.
“If he says ‘I’d like to do something else,’ then the really big [clubs] in Europe will be there and we can’t afford to fight financially.”
if you believe the words of Reporter Iomie Stanley – he will be a great signing for the Blues.
He told IcFootballnews: “The investment may be worth it given Bellingham’s class and his youthful age, with his ability to control play from the middle as well as scoring goals making him a valuable asset.
“Ngolo Kante has been brilliant for Chelsea over his time with the club – but over the last few seasons he has spent more time on the sidelines than actually playing and the Blues know that they need to look to the future.
‘And the fact he wants to come to the Premier League suggests that Chelsea will have a very good chance of getting a deal done for the man – that is for sure
He is a different type of player to Kante – but he is certainly a very special talent and he would be well worth that £128.5 million that is for sure.’
