One manager to another! Benitez has special message for Arsenal boss Unai Emery

Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez has no doubts Arsenal head coach Unai Emery will be a success in the Premier League.

After 22 years in charge at the Arsenal, Arsene Wenger decided to make way at the end of last season and let a new manager come in and bring fresh ideas to the club, aswell as a fresh way of playing.

The Spaniard has endured an indifferent start to life as a Premier League boss, with 2 wins from his opening four games and his playing style has come under intense criticism from the media and former Arsenal players, especially since they have already conceded eight goals.

But despite many believing that Emery will struggle to make any real impact as Arsenal boss, Benitez has backed his fellow countryman to be a huge success, telling Sky Sports: “Hopefully, at least, he will need one more week to do what he is trying to do.

“But I think he is a good manager and he is trying to do something that, in another country, sometimes it is not easy to change things.

“But we are talking about Arsenal. Arsenal was a very good team and a team that used to pass the ball and play football, normally, on the floor.

“So I think that Unai is trying to do similar things and maybe improve a little bit some aspects that they needed to improve.

“But it was a good team and at the moment it is a good team with a new manager but they will be at the top of the table for sure.”

Here is what we think

Emery has proved on countless occasions that he is a proven winner and his ten trophies at the very highest level proves that he a s top-class coach that will bring some sort of success to the club.

So people need to step back and realise that he just needs time, as he inherited a team that is well behind the quality it will take to even get a Champions League spot this season.
