Arsenal fans sent transfer message as £33 million star set for summer move!

Darren Bent has claimed that Chelsea were never going to let Conor Gallagher join Premier League rivals Arsenal this summer.

Gallagher is seemingly on his way out of CHELSEA this summer as he is set to sign with Spanish giants Atletico Madrid after both clubs reportedly agreed a £33 million fee last week.

However – there was some talk in the window that Arsenal were linked with a shock move for Gallagher and even made contact with the Blues about a potential deal – but were quickly knocked back by their London rivals.

Now – speaking on talkSPORT, Darren Bent claimed Chelsea would have never considered Conor Gallagher to a rival, like ARSENAL and Tottenham Hotspur. The former Premier League striker said: “There’s no way on the planet CHELSEA were letting him go there.

“No way. Yeah, I think he would have made them better. Listen, you have a Conor Gallagher in your team, you are not all of a sudden title contenders, but you know what you are going to get with him.

“I think when you sign a new player, you know they have got to be a good character. He’s obviously that. He is going to work his absolutely everything off. So that’s another thing there.

“They are the basics — being a good character and working your everything off. He can play. He is a good player.”

If ARSENAL were interested in a move for the player – that is long gone as Mikel Arteta has been making the signings that he really wants over the past few weeks. Gallagher is going to Madrid – so it doesnt really matter if he could have ended up at the Gunners.

He could have been a solid squad member though.
