£400,000-a-week deadline day twist with Chelsea keen on trophy-laiden striker
Al-Ittihad superstar and Chelsea target Karim Benzema will not be getting his transfer to Europe this January window.
Benzema has been in the headlines for the past few weeks after news broke that he is not happy in the middle east after his move there just six months ago and was keen to make the move back to European football.
The Gunners, Manchester United and CHELSEA were all exploring a loan deal for the striker, as they are all unable to sign a striker because of the financial fair play regulations keeping clubs in check.
Now according to the Athletic, the ex-France international is going nowhere and will remain in the Middle East until at least the end of the season.

It was a massive decision from Benzema to make to give up playing top level football for the money over in Saudi Arabia – he is not happy despite all the cash he has been getting on a weekly basis.
However – we simply cannot see him ever making the move to the Premier League at this stage of his career – he is far too old to make any sort of impact on the likes for CHELSEA , Arsenal or Man United and would struggle in the English game.
He will surely come back to European Football at the end of the season – but a move back to France or even the Bundesliga is a much more likely destination for the man.
A few seasons ago – he would have been a world class signing for the Premier League.
