Ruiz contract demands…

Arsenal are ‘considering’ a move for Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz this summer, who wants a four-year contract at his next club

There is a widespread feeling that Granit Xhaka will be departing the club at the end of the season, with Roma reportedly keen on a deal for the Swiss star, meaning that Arteta will be another midfielder short.

Arsenal allowed thirteen players to leave the club during the January transfer window and did not bring in any quality to replace those stars, so even though a few are coming back from loan deals in the summer they are expected to leave on a more permanent basis

And according to the latest reports in the media, Arsenal are desperate to sign a new midfield player at the end of the season after failing to land anyo during the January transfer window, and Ruiz is now on the shopping list

Come June, the Spaniard will only have one year left on his deal and with contract negotiations breaking down, Ruiz could be available for as little as £16 million plus add-ons.

And reports have claimed that Fabian is looking to sign a four-year contract wherever he ends up.

The summer window is many, many months away and the Gunners are still fighting for that top four spot, so that is what Mikel Arteta is worried about right now.

Ruiz is a classy player that will add something to that Arsenal midfield, but he is not a player that will get fans excited, get the club excited, send a message to the rest of the Premier League.

He would add some more depth to the squad, and that is what Arteta needs. And for the money that they could get him for, well, that is not alot of cash in football these days

Arsenal told to sign Ings…

Arsenal legend Paul Merson claimed his former club should sign Aston Villa ace Danny Ings in the summer transfer window

It is no secret in the media that Mikel Arteta will need to spend some serious money in the coming transfer window to add a striker to that attack that can score goals on a regular basis.

The Spaniard failed to sign the clubs number one transfer target in the January window, As Dusan Vlahovic decided to sign with Juventus instead, meaning that the Gunners are being linked to some world class forwards.

The Gunners are reportedly interested in Lautaro Martinez, Dominc Calvert-Lewin and Alexander Isak to name just a few, but Merson has opened and told the Gunners the ideal signing for the club

Danny Ings is a player that has been linked with a move to the Emirates for a while now, but opted to sign with Aston Villa last summer after they spent some serious money to secure his services

And now Merson has claimed that Ings would be a brilliant signing for Mikel Arteta, Merson told Sky Sports: “I definitely think [Villa manager Steven] Gerrard will be looking at his situation.

“Well, Ings for me is a goalscorer – Ings would go anywhere. If I was Arsenal, I’d take him all day long.

“I think he’s top-drawer, but he needs to be in the team and sometimes you go to other places and it doesn’t suit the way you play”

Danny Ings is a quality Premier League striker that has a massive contract at Villa, so if the Gunners are willing to pay big money, then yes, he would be a great signing.

But as we said, he has only just joined Villa and we are not expecting him to go anywhere in the summer

Arsenal sent Bissouma message…

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been told just why they need to sign Brighton star Yves Bissouma.

The summer transfer window does not open until June, but that has not stopper alot of speculation in the media about the type of players that Mikel Arteta will hopefully sign for the club

That has led to many reports in the media that Arsenal are readying a move to try and secure a transfer deal for the impressive Bissouma, who is rated as one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the Premier League right now

The Mali international’s contract is set to expire at the end of next season and would be available for a cut-price deal, which Edu should certainly explore.

And amid all the speculation that Arsenal will make a move for Bissouma, West Ham star Declan Rice has opened up and praised the Brighton star, while also revealing why Arsenal should make sure they wrap up a deal

Speaking about his top five midfielders in the Premier League to BT Sport, Rice categorised the Brighton man.

“Bissouma is a really great player,” Rice said. “When you play against him, you see what he is like, he’s a holding midfielder but wins the ball and is strong in the tackle.

“He [Bissouma] can also bring the ball forward, and finds passes, he also has a flair side to him as well. He has had a solid season this year, and the last.”

Bissouma is certainly a player that would improve that Arsenal midfield and he is definitely ready to make that move to one of the big clubs in the Premier League

Arsenal should make a move, they need too. And they should also be prepared to pay big money, as there are a few other clubs that are interested in Bissouma
