Blues fans told new 18-goal-scoring signing ‘is better signing’ than headline-taking Jadon Sancho

Tony Cascarino claimed new Chelsea signing Kai Havertz has been branded a ‘better signing’ than Manchester United transfer target Jadon Sancho

Both Sancho and Havertz have been rated as two of the most exciting talents in the game after becoming Bundesliga superstars over the last two seasons, but it is Sancho that has been dominating all the headlines.

Sancho is tipped to become the best winger in world football and is already raking in over 20 assists a season, with his performances even leading to rumours that Chelsea would consider battling Manchester United for his services.

However, the Blues opted to make a move for the goal-scoring Havertz, who is tipped to be the next big superstar for Germany and has been hailed as the most exciting signing that Chelsea have made this summer.

Discussing Havertz and Chelsea’s summer signings, Cascarino told The Times: ‘I cannot wait to see Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic leading the line for Chelsea.

‘Frank Lampard’s team now have the most exciting front three in the Premier League and, whisper it, they have what it takes to be more prolific than Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino at Liverpool.

‘Pulisic and Havertz are blessed with pace and great technique, and Werner is a lethal finisher.

‘Havertz, in particular, is going to be a massive player for Chelsea. He is a better acquisition this summer than Jadon Sancho would be.’

Both players are very good, but Havertz has something extra that Chelsea fans will come to love over the next few months. He may need time to adapt to the Premier League, but at the end of the day he is a class signing.

Chelsea done very well to sign Havertz and we are all excited to see just what he is able to bring to the club.
