Blues star excited about incoming Chelsea signing – Poch personal asks for Chelsea signing – German Blues bound?

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today –

Long- term CHELSEA target Jonathan Tah is keen to move to the Premier League this summer, he has revealed

Mauricio Pochettino has some wonderful central defenders at Stamford Bridge – but picking up one or two injuries cost them some serious points last season and they need to improve that back line

Tah has been a key player for Bayern Leverkusen for a number of years and the German international has the technical attributes to play for a top club like Chelsea. And he has the physicality to thrive in English football as well.

Now – amid all the speculation surrounding his future at Leverkusen – he has opened up and revealed that he has a desire to move to the Premier Lague.

“If he doesn’t sense the right opportunity (to leave), there’s always a chance that he’ll stay,” Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes told BILD.

“(But) he always had the goal of playing in the Premier League.

‘We set up his current deal so that he could do so. If he has a chance to realise that now, it’s okay.

“He has rightly been selected for the Europa League Team of the Season.

‘He played a very good second half of the season. Even in games where the team was not so good, he played well. In the difficult games, Jona has taken an important role.”

Tah has proven himself to be a very coveted player over in the Bundesliga – he is a wanted man.

That £45 million valuation on the head of Tah is not alot of money to pay these days and he could be a signing that improves an area of the pitch that is vital to the success of Pochettinos football.

Poch wants Caicedo –

CHELSEA manager Mauricio Pochettino has ‘specifically asked’ for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo

Chelsea are very much interested in a deal for the impressive Caicedo – as they feel that they need to add another box-to-box midfielder to the squad to help ease the pressure on their midfield

Chelsea had a £60million opening offer knocked back in the January window for the 21-year-old with Albion owner Tony Bloom not wanting to sell – but the Blues will look to add to their squad at the end of the summer and he is on the shopping list.

He has also featured on the wishlists of Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool, but Mauricio Pochettino has reported asked for the signing of Caicedo as a N’Golo Kante replacement, journalist Rudy Galetti has told GIVEMESPORT.

Speaking exclusively to GIVEMESPORT, he said: “Pochettino specifically asked for the Brighton player to strengthen the midfield and now with Kante’s farewell, Moises is becoming an urgency.”

Despite the fact that Caicedo is a very good footballer – he is not worth the money that is being talked about – this is crazy. Why spend so much money on a player that will probably be on the bench?

He has been very good for Brighton this season – but it is a massive step up to play for a club like CHELSEA, especially with everything that is going on with the Blues.

But if Chelsea really want him – and we mean REALLY WANT HIM – then they have the financial power to pay what it takes to get a transfer deal done.

And they also have the lure for a player like Caicedo – so it will be an easy deal to get wrapped up that is for sure.

Fofana excited about Nkunku –

Wesley Fofana has admitted he will be happy when Christopher Nkunku joins CHELSEA

Nkunku had been in the headlines alot before the January window – and there were some big clubs interested in a potential deal for the Frenchman – but it was Chelsea that won the race for the striker.

IcFootballnews understands a deal to bring Nkunku to Stamford Bridge this summer has been agreed, The former PSG forward will reportedly make the move to the Premier League for a fee worth £50million

The PSG academy graduate moved to Leipzig in 2019 and has recorded a highly impressive 70 goals and 56 assists in 172 games across all competitions, winning Bundesliga Player of the Season in 2022 and finishing.

And ahead of his impending move to the club – Wesley Fofana has admitted that he will be very happy to see Nkunky make the move: ‘If it happens, I’m very happy,’ Fofana said.

‘He has enormous qualities. It would be pure happiness to have him with us.’

Nkunku, though, was coy about his future and the summer transfer window as he said on international duty: ‘I am focused on gathering with les Bleus.

‘Everything that happens after, we will have time to think.’

Quizzed about his favourite position and where he might play under Mauricio Pochettino, Nkunku added: ‘I play where the coach decides.

‘I don’t want to be a problem but a solution. But I can be in front, in support or on the sides. I have this ability to adapt it. I like to be free.’

CHELSEA made sure that they were the club that signed Nkunku back in January – they will be hoping that he is worth the hassle.

He has proven himself to be a very good player over in the Bundesliga – but he will need to adapt to the Premier League quickly in order to be a success.

But we do not know why he is being coy – the whole world knows a move is happening.
