Blues star tells Chelsea board target is ready – Blues told sign £100M man – Chelsea open talks for £65M man
Here is a roundup of the latest Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –
Djordje Petrovic has praised Chelsea target Benjamin Sesko and feels he is ready-made for the Premier League,
Sesko – who is also attracting interest from the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Man United – ended the season in stunning form, scoring or assisting in 13 of the final 16 games of the Bundesliga season, and his release clause increased to €65million (£56m) as a result.
It is no secret that CHELSEA are looking to add a new striker to that attack in the coming transfer window as they still have not got a 25-30 goal a season forward that can score on a weekly basis.
And amid all the speculation – Chelsea goalkeeper Petrovic may well see that price tag as something of a bargain, with the 24-year-old convinced Sesko would be a success in the Premier League after following his performances this season.
Asked about Sesko, who he may face off against in the Euro 2024 group stages, Serbia international Petrovic told Nogomania: ‘I know [about the rumours] and have been following him.
‘He’s having a good half-season, he’s in great scoring form
‘I read that he’s scored in his last seven matches in a row. He seems to have gained strong momentum for the Euros.
‘He’s a forward who has everything a modern player needs. He’s tall, strong, fast and intelligent.
‘I’ve watched some of his matches. Of course he can play in the Premier League. Absolutely!
‘He has great potential and he’s been successfully proving it in recent months.’

the European Championships will give the likes of CHELSEA a good look at what Sesko is capable of and he could well be a solid addition to any side in the Premier League.
So it will be interesting to see if he moves – because it is looking very likely that he does.
CHELSEA IN COSTA TALKS –
Chelsea have made contact with FC Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa over a possible transfer to Stamford Bridge.
Enzo Maresca is the man that the Chelsea board feel can take the club forward after Mauricio Pochettino failed to impress as coach of the club last season – and the Italian will be backed in the transfer window.
And The Telegraph report that the 44-year-old will prioritise signing a new goalkeeper as he looks to improve key areas of the squad that is lacking in real quality.
CHELSEA made some big signings last summer that they believed would help the club challenge for a Champions League spot and maybe add some silverware to the cabinet.
One arrival that was made was that of Robert Sanchez – who was no longer wanted at Brighton and was quickly signed up by the Blues as they were desperate to add a new stopper to the side.
He has been a massive part of that Chelsea side this season – but he is not seen as a man that is good enough to play for one of the big Premier League clubs and has really struggled to impress.
And now – According to journalist Rudy Galetti on X, Chelsea have made contact with FC Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa over a possible transfer
He Tweeted: ‘Diogo #Costa has been approached by #Chelsea, which are looking for a new goalkeeper.
💰 #Porto are open to selling the 🇵🇹 GK in the summer, in case an offer is deemed satisfactory.’

Now that CHELSEA have got their new manager – they can work on signing players that will make an immediate impact at the club – and Costa is a very good stopper.
There are better options out there – but the man is ready for a step up and could be a much better option than what the Blues currently have.
CHELSEA TOLD TO SIGN RODRYGO –
Emmanuel Petit has encouraged Chelsea to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid this summer window.
Chelsea are still working on completing a deal for their next boss – which is expected to be Enzo Maresca – but that is not stopping the speculation about players that could get signed this transfer window.
It is no secret that CHELSEA really struggled in front of goal this season and only Cole Palmer has shone for the club – as Christopher Nkunky has struggled with injury and Nicolas Jackson is still getting used to the Premier League.
Many names have been linked wit a move to Stamford Bridge – but if you believe the words of Emmanuel Petit – the club should delve into that transfer kitty to try and acquire the services of Rodrygo.
‘I think Chelsea should sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid to help Nicolas Jackson next season,’ Petit said
‘With Mbappe arriving next season, one of Real’s big stars are going to be out of the XI, so I think this one makes sense for both parties.
‘Real Madrid could get a big fee and he will also be great for Jackson, although he is still young.’

Rodrygo is a player that will struggle for game time at Madrid from next season because of Mbappe and the Brazilian sensation Endrick – so he may be forced into leaving the club in the future.
But he has no desire to depart the club anytime soon and to be honest – we cant see CHELSEA paying £100 million for a player that is older than what they like to sign.
It will be interesting to see just who the Blues sign this summer – but we are sure that it will not be Rodrygo
