Wow! Bayern Munich star opens up and tells likes of Arsenal he would not turn down move to Premier League this summer

Bayern Munich centre-back Jerome Boateng has hinted at a potential move to the Premier League, with Arsenal a club that has been linked.

With constant reports in the media suggesting that Mikel Arteta is keen to bring in come class to his back-line this summer transfer window, there has been some speculation in the media that he could make a move for Boateng.

Boateng, who spent one season at Manchester City before joining Bayern in 2011, was linked with a move to Arsenal in January, but the Gunners could not get a deal done and in the end he decided to stay with Bayern.

However, he has not opened the door to a possible move to the Emirates during the transfer window after admitting that he would not turn down a move to the Premier League if an offer came in

The German defender said on BILD: “I wouldn’t say no. I love watching the Premier League and I loved playing in it while I was there.

“For me, it was really unlucky because I was injured straightaway and then I didn’t play in the position they promised.

“I’m definitely down for it, it’s one of my favourite leagues, but I don’t know for the future. You never know… it’s not that I would never play there again, absolutely not.”

Arsenal are a club that are in need of adding a new centre-back to the squad and if there is a chance for the Gunners to make a cheap move to sign the German, we are sure that the board will make a move.

However, he is coming towards the back-end of his career and there is a reason why Bayern are willing to let him go, that is because he is not good enough for the top level any longer.
