Frenchman announces Boehly has held talks with Al-Khelaifi about massive Chelsea deal

ESPN football writer Julien Laurens has claimed that Ted Boehly has spoken to PSG over a possible CHELSEA deal for Neymar.

Chelsea have been one of the biggest spenders in the last couple of transfer windows ever since Ted Boehly and company arrived at the club – and a massive £600 million has been spent by the Blues.

However – it is widely expected that the club will delve into that transfer kitty at the end of the season and add a few more players to the squad – and Neymar has been linked with a move to London.

The Brazilian star is being heavily tipped to leave PSG after reports emerged which claimed that the French giants are now looking to offload Neymar in order to balance the books.

Now – according to Laurens – Boehly has already spoken to president Nasser Al-Khelaifi  about a possible deal for the Brazilian superstar – speaking to Sky Sports News:

“PSG tried to sell Neymar last summer and they will try to sell him again this summer.

“We know that Todd Boehly has spoken to PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi a few times to talk about Neymar and the possibility to bring him to Chelsea.

“I don’t know if this is still possible given Neymar is still recovering from ankle surgery and he has a huge contract at PSG which has four years left on it.

“The only thing we know right now is that only the Premier League can afford Neymar.”

Chelsea may be one of only a handful of clubs that could afford Neymar – but despite the revenue money he would bring in from his name – he would not bring much more to the club.
