Powerhouse tells Chelsea ;come-and-get-me, Winger announces why he has signed with Chelsea, Blues fans to welcome Seria A star after talks confirmed?
Hey guys here is a daily roundup of the latest Chelsea, news gossip and transfer talk from icfootballnews.com
strong>Andre Onana wants to leave Ajax in the summer and Chelsea is the goalkeeper’s No.1 choice, according to reports.
Kepa has been impressive since his mega money move to Chelsea just a few years ago, but over the past few weeks, the Blues fans have seen a dip in form from the young Spaniard and it has started causing cause for concern for boss Frank Lampard.
Lampard even dropped the young stopper for the big game against Leicester last weekend, leading many to believe that Lampard is now seeking to get rid of the young man and add a more experience ace to the side.
And that has led to some speculation in the media which has suggested that Chelsea will start the summer of spending bu replacing Kepa, and making a big summer move for the impressive Onana.
Manchester United reportedly made an offer for Onana during the summer amid concerns about David de Gea’s long-term future at the club, but now the Daily Mail claim Onana has decided he wants leave Ajax and is eager to move to the Premier League with Chelsea in his sights.
Reports have suggested that Barcelona, however, have held talks with Onana over a return to Spain, as the 23-year-old left the Catalan club to join Ajax’s youth ranks in 2016.
Onana was eventually promoted to Ajax’s first team and has made almost 200 appearances for the Dutch side.
There is no doubt that Kepa has the ability to be a world class stopper for the Chelsea and it has been strange to see him linked with a move away from the club, especially as he has been the clubs undisputed number one since he arrived.
Edwin Anderson has revealed he snubbed a move to Manchester United and signed for Chelsea.
The January transfer window may now be shut and Chelsea fans will not be seeing the arrival of big names, but that is not stopping Chelsea from wrapping up a few deals.
Having been linked with 16-year-old Andersson for some time, Chelsea are seemingly on the brink of confirming the signing of the teenager.
On Goteborg’s official website, academy boss Jonas Olsson said: “We of course wish Edwin good luck. We would have liked to have seen him stay with us but that he is being recruited to Chelsea is a good mark on our business.”
Manchester United have previously been credited with an interest in the Swedish midfielder, but it is Chelsea who have completed a deal for the lad.
A delighted Andersson has since confirmed the ‘dream’ move himself, citing the ‘incredibly good conditions’ at Chelsea as a major factor in his decision. ‘It is a dream come true,’ he told the Swedish Chelsea Supporters club. ‘Chelsea was the club that suited me best and it is a club with incredibly good conditions.’
Chelsea’s only other signing in January was Bryan Fiabema, who will also go straight into the Blues’ academy.
Lampard has overseen a dramatic change in youth policy since he took charge last summer, with a host of Chelsea’s academy stars graduating to become regulars in the senior squad
Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham, Reece James and Fikayo Tomori are just a few of the young guns in Lampard’s side.
So Anderson knows that he is very likely to get a very good chance in the Chelsea side in the coming seasons.
WOULD CHELSEA FANS WELCOME THE SHOCK ARRIVAL OF JEREMIE BOGA IN THE SUMMER WINDOW?
Chelsea were heavily linked with a number of January moves last months, as speculation increased that Frank Lampard id desperate to spend some serious money and bring in a new defender, midfielder and forward to the side.
CHELSEA have been linked with some of the games biggest and best defenders, but the independent has claimed that it could be a former star that arrives at the club at the end of the season, with reports Boga is back on the shopping list.
The 23-year-old made just one senior appearance for the Blues before he joined the Serie A club on a permanent deal in 2018, but after watching him score six goals and contribute three assists in 22 games this season, Sassuolo club president Giovanni Carnevali indicated Chelsea have a buy-back clause for Boga and could decide to exercise it at the end of the season.
‘Chelsea can redeem him in June,’ said Carnevali to Goal.com’s Italian language website.
‘We have a great relationship with the club and we already met them before Christmas – also for other business.
‘We like to have what we have with Barcelona, to have a collaborative relationship.
‘They can take him back but we can also re-sign him, everything is open.’
WOULD HE BE WECLOME BACK?
There is no doubt that Boga has been very impressive over in the Seria A Leagues and could be ready to come back to the Premier League and make a real challenge for a regular starting spot in the Chelsea side.
But look, CHELSEA will still need to spend some serious money and acquire few world class players if he is brought back. The Blues already have a number of talents, but they are missing a leader, an experienced player at the top of the game, a winner.
