Boss delighted after Chelsea deal announced – £325k-a-week star open to move – Chelsea target ‘Has decided to quit’
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you could have missed featuring the likes of Raheem Sterling, leo Castledine and Kingsley Coman…
The boss of Shrewsbury Town has opened up and revealed that he is delighted with the signing of Leo Castledine on loan from Chelsea for the season, after a deal was announced this week.
Castledine is rated as one of the most talented young players that CHELSEA have in that youth squads – but with all the changes that has been happening over the past few months – there is no space in the first team squad to get his chance.
That meant that the decision was made to allow him to go out on loan, and Shrewsbury Town quickly made the decision to get a deal done and after seeing the deal happen, boss Paul Hurst has opened up and revealed his excitement.
Boss Paul Hurst said on the club website.: “We are really pleased because he’s one we’ve been looking at for a long time and initially we weren’t sure he’d be allowed to come out on loan.
“There was also word that he may end up in the Championship, so we’re delighted to get him in and had to be patient on this one.
“He’s a player we think can add a lot to this squad. He’s a mature character who plays with maturity, enthusiasm, and has quality.
“He’s got a lot of energy and works hard – it’s what I noticed when I first started watching him, what a good attitude he’s got.
“He can score goals and get assists but also without the ball he will work hard and hopefully win the ball back for us in good areas of the pitch.
“He is a part of the England youth teams as well, captained his CHELSEA side too so I think that speaks volumes about his character and I’m looking forward to working with him.”
COMAN WANTS SUMMER MOVE –
French winger Kingsley Coman has decided to leave Bayern Munich amid transfer links with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City, is has been claimed in the media today.
Enzo Maresca has been at the club for the past few months now and will be looking to bring in a few players that are able to make an impact for this season – as the feeling around the club is mixed after a strange summer of spending
There has been alot of players linked with a move to the club – but now it seems that they may be able to sign one of their long-term targets, Coman – ad he is seemingly a player that Bayern are open to selling in last few days of the window.
Now L’Equipe reports that after Coman and many of the club’s big earners were invited to leave Bayern, the France international has decided not to stay at the club. He is expected to leave the Bundesliga outfit before the transfer window shuts on August 30.
The 28-year-old has also had long-standing interest from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, while clubs in Saudi Arabia would reportedly be willing to meet his £50m asking price.
And it has been claimed that Coman would be open to the idea of moving to Liverpool.
IcFootballnews View…
A few seasons ago Coman would have been a wonderful signing for CHELSEA – but now – he would not be.
It looks like he has lost that hunger and desire that made him one of the best n the world and we would not be surprised to see him leave Bayern – but not for the Blues – possibly for a mega money move to Saudi Arabia.
The Premier League is a place that he would probably struggle to play his best football – he is a brilliant player – but needs space to work his magic.
Add that to his injury issues – he could be a risky signing that is for sure.
STERLING OPEN TO MOVE –
Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling is open to a move to Manchester United this summer, according to The Guardian as the Blues look to offload the winger before the close of the transfer window.
Italy’s Juventus and Turkey’s Fenerbahce have been linked with Sterling though it seems unlikely either would be able to pay his £300,000-a-week salary which currently makes him CHELSEA’s highest earner.
Aston Villa have reportedly been in talks with the Blues about a potential deal for the former Liverpool and Man City star but Sterling has been told he has no chance of moving to another Premier League club after Enzo Maresca said he had no future at Chelsea.
The 29-year-old has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge and is set to hold talks with the Chelsea hierarchy over his contractual situation before pressing ahead with a move away.
United are among the teams interested in signing the England international, with a swap deal involving Jadon Sancho mooted, and he is now reportedly open to the idea of a move to the Manchester giants.
Amid all the speculation and rumours – former Blues star Emmanuel Petit has opened up and encouraged the likes of Sterling to leave the club if he has the opportunity too: “If you’re Sterling or any CHELSEA player and have the chance to leave the club, I would take it. Honestly, I don’t see how Enzo Maresca can rescue this, he’s not a magician,” he told Safest Casino Sites.
“You could put Pep Guardiola or Jurgen Klopp in charge of the team and it will still take months to find a first XI and make everyone happy in the squad. They’re all young players signing huge contracts for eight to nine years.
“Look at Conor Gallagher, he’s another example. Where is he? At the airport? I have no idea. It’s a pity because he’s a very good player.
“I was not surprised by the result against Manchester City on Sunday, how can you build a team spirit between players when you put too much competition for positions in the first XI? It’s nonsense, there’s no confidence in the players.
‘We’ve seen this for a couple of years now and it doesn’t look like anything will change.”
