Boss issues clear transfer message to Arsenal about deal, La Liga superstar OFFICIALLY opens door to £100m Chelsea move and impressive striker makes big Man United decision
Bruce issues clear transfer message to Arsenal, Chelsea have door opened in Oblak chase and Cavani makes Man United decision in news of the day…
Atletico Madrid goalkeeper and Chelsea target Jan Oblak has left the door open to a possible Premier League move.
Oblak has established himself as one of the top keepers in Europe since joining Atletico from Benfica in 2014, attracting a long list of high-profile admirers in the process.
Despite having the impressive Edouard Mendy between the sticks, it is believed that Tuchel will still look to acquire some funds in the transfer window and add a more established stopper to the line-up, with Oblak a top target for some time now.
“The Premier League has strong teams. Maybe the strongest. But I think in the end it is what the coach is asking of you. You listen to his instructions,” the Atletico goalkeeper said during an interview with European football expert Guillem Balague.
“You are one of the 11, so you do what he asks of you. All the players on the pitch are thinking like that. It doesn’t matter if it’s the Premier League, Italian league, Spanish league, wherever you go you need to do what the coach is asking you to do.”
Asked if he can picture himself playing in the Premier League, Oblak added: “I don’t know. I don’t know what the future will bring, but I am sure that in any league I would play I could play well. You never know what will happen in the future.
“Now I have been in Spain for seven years. Let’s see. I’m still young. Not so young anymore, but I still have some years in front of me.
“The most important thing for me is the hope that I do not suffer any injuries. Let’s see what the future will bring.”
Look, at the end of the day, if there is a chance to sign Oblak, Chelsea should take it.

Edinson Cavani has decided to stay at Manchester United next season, according to the latest reports in the media.
Man United shocked many people in last summers transfer window when they opted to make a move for the superstar striker after he decided that he wanted one more big challenge after deciding to leave PSG.
A short-term deal was agreed at Old Trafford after severing ties with Paris Saint-Germain, but no extension to that contract has been put in place and questions are being asked of Cavani’s future in English football.
It is no secret that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would like to keep him at the club, but there has been alot of rumours that Cavani would like to make the move back to South American football for the final few years he has left in the game.
However, Reports on ESPN state Cavani will extend his contract next week, having previously been heavily linked to Boca Juniors.
Cavani knows his body best and if he feels that he needs to leave United, then the Red Devils will just have to make sure that he is replaced in the transfer window. So the news that he has ow decided to stay at the club will come as a shock.
It looked for certain that he would be departing the club at the end of the season, but there are still many weeks left until the transfer window, and until he signs that deal, he is still free to pack his bags and walk away from the club.
Steve Bruce is determined to hang on to Newcastle’s star man Allan Saint-Maximin with Arsenal a club linked with a move.
Saint-Maximin was out for alot of games with a serious injury this season and the Toon missed him and his quality, with Steve Bruce’s side edging towards that relegation zone.
But the Frenchman was superb against Liverpool in the 1-1 draw – and since his has come back into action, the Toon have looked more like a side that is able to compete in the top half of the table, rather than the relegation zone
Saint-Maximin’s high-octane approach to his craft and the trickery he combines with it have won him fresh admirers in his second season in the Premier League, but head coach Bruce has issued a hands-off message over a man who signed a new, improved six-year deal in October last year.
He said: “Look, the last thing we want to be doing is selling our best players. For Allan himself, he needs to find a consistency, as in staying well and staying fit.
“Covid hit him badly, but you can see when he’s playing and he’s playing injury-free, then he is a special, special talent, which inevitably will draw interest, of course. “But the last thing we want to be doing is selling our better players.”
Look, Saint-Maximin is a player that will always attract the biggest clubs, he really is a quality player. But even though Bruce wants to keep hold of the attacker, how can he stop the offers arriving and Mike Ashley selling if the price is right?
If Arsenal want him, if they offer the right money, they will get their man.
