Boss reveals if £70M star will join Liverpool this January window

Oliver Glasner expects Marc Guehi to stay at Crystal Palace this month, amid all the speculation suggesting that both Chelsea and LIVERPOOL could make an offer ove rthe next few weeks.

Enzo Maresca has done a wonderful job at Chelsea so far this season and the Blues are now in the race to challenge for that Premier League title, but that hasnt stopped all the speculation about the players that the Blues could look to sign.

Guehi has been brilliant for Crystal Palace over the past few seasons, his stock in the game has really risen and he is now rated as one of the best central defenders in the Premier League and a player that Chelsea have been linked with signing, for a fee of £60 million.

However – despite the many reports suggesting that Chelsea are interested in a deal for the defender, it has been claimed on the Daily Mail website that the England International would like to join LIVERPOOL.

But it remains to be seen whether Palace receive any fresh approaches for him this month, as Glasner expects Marc Guehi to stay at at Palace – Asked whether he expects to keep Guehi past deadline day, Glasner responded: “I think so. No player from our squad came to me and said [they] want to leave. No one.

“No one that played all the games, all the minutes, like Marc, and no one from the players who didn’t play so many minutes. This is the most relevant part: what the player tells me.

”The Austrian added: “If one is coming and says they want to leave and both clubs find an agreement, I think it will happen. But as long as a player doesn’t come — and Marc didn’t come — I am really not concerned he will leave.

“January 31 is a long time [away], and I know I will have to answer this question several times. You will hear the same answer again.”
