Leverkusen boss opens up and tells Chelsea he knows the future of possible signing Havertz

Bayer Leverkusen coach Peter Bosz has said he knows where the future of Chelsea target Kai Havertz lies.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move to bring Kai Havertz to the Premier League for months now, but a deal has not been announced or confirmed just yet, despite the many reports that it has.

It is believed that an agreement with the player is in place, but the Chelsea hierarchy are trying to negotiate that £90 million fee down a bit, with suggestions that the Blues are only willing to pay close to £70 million.

And with rumours continuing to intensify over where Havertz’s long-term future lies, his current boss says he is already aware what his star asset is going to do… although remained coy when quizzed by reporters.

“I won’t tell, it’s his business,” Bosz told German news agency DPA.

“I talk to Kai a lot and try to sense what all this does to him – the daily transfer rumours, for example – and I notice again and again that Kai handles it very well.”

“It’s impossible to say. Maybe the decisive call will come today, maybe next week, maybe not at all,” he added.

Until the deal is officially done, Chelsea fans will continue to be frustrated about the arrival time of Havertz, and although this is not really a big update, it is something that only suggests that he is heading to Chelsea.

Patience is key here, but it would be a massive shock to not see him leave the German side and make that switch to Stamford Bridge.
