Brazilian in talks over move – Chelsea free to sign £500k-a-week star – €150m star to Chelsea claim
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today –
Real Madrid have ruled out the possibility of signing Chelsea target Kylian Mbappe – even if he leaves Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer next summer.
Mbappe has been in the transfer headlines since the start of the summer transfer window after he came out and revealed that he has no plans to agree a new contract at the club – and will leave when his current deal expires at the end of the season.
PSG are convinced Mbappe has already agreed to join Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer, but with the Spaniards unable to compete in the transfer market because of their financial issues, CHELSEA have been heavily linked with a move.
However – in recent days there has been some speculation in the media which has suggested that Madrid have been in talks over a potential deal for the Frenchman when his contract expires at the end of the season.
However – they have decided to put an end to their pursuit of the striker, CadenaSER claims. The Spanish giants consider the soap opera to be over and done with and will not attempt to lure him to the Santiago Bernabeu regardless of his situation.
SHOULD CHELSEA SIGN THE MAN?
Look, Mbappe has no loyalties to the clubs he pays for – he goes where the money is and that is not what the Blues need right now.
He has an amazing amount of talent – but the Premier League is not the French league and that is why he wants a move to La Liga – there are a few great teams and then nothing.
Should CHELSEA sign the man? Probably not. He would bring far too many bad drama to the club and we fully expect him to make the move to Madrid.
GALLAS ON POSSIBLE OSIMHEN DEAL –
Willem Gallas has told Chelsea to forget about signing Victor Osimhen in the January window and wait until the end of the season.
Osimhen has ready established himself as one of the very best strikers in the game right now and a man that is tipped to make a big transfer move in the next couple of windows.

Premier League bound?
He helped Napoli win their first League title for many seasons and led the scoring charts in the process – with reports suggesting that the Italians now value him at around the £170 million mark.
CHELSEA have somewhat struggled in front of goal so far this season, with summer signing Nicolas Jackson only finding the net six times so far this season.
According to a report by TEAMtalk, they would be willing to put a record offer of more than €150 million on the table.
But despite all the speculation and the rumours – Gallas has opened up and sent a shock message to Chelsea about trying to sign Osimhen during the January window.
Speaking to Lord Ping, William Gallas said: “Victor Osimhen joining Chelsea would harm the confidence of players like Nicolas Jackson. You have to be careful and really think about bringing in a new striker. As I said before, I think Chelsea should finish the season with Jackson and see how many goals he gets.
“We also need to see how he improves. He has the quality to do so. Chelsea need to let Jackson get to work. Scoring goals will always boost the confidence of a striker, and Jackson’s hat-trick against Tottenham will definitely boost him, and we’ll see that confidence carry over into his next games.
“Chelsea need a striker who’ll score at least 20 goals a season. I don’t know if Jackson will do that, but at least he’s scoring. I hope more goals come for him. I think Chelsea should stick with the squad they have. They’ve bought so many players, and the squad needs to get to know each other.
“It’s looking like Chelsea are slowly starting to improve. I said a few months ago that the Chelsea squad isn’t ready to fight for the title or qualify for the Champions League. They will, however, improve from last season. I’m sure that they’ll be very strong next season and the one after.”
THIAGO SILVA IN TALKS TO LEAVE –
There has been some speculation that Thiago Silva has now opened talks about a move away from Chelsea.
The Brazilian has been an incredible servant since joining on a free transfer from PSG in 2020. Silva has gone on to become a fan favourite and has really shown that he is one of the greatest of all-time.

lampard praised for Silva deal
However – with the club looking to the future now and heading into a different direction, there has been alot of speculation in the media that the Brazilian star is ready to pack his bags and leave CHELSEA at the end of the season.
Now journalist Jorge Nicola has told his YouTube channel that the 39-year-old’s talks to join Fluminese next year are “underway”. While this is over a summer move, Silva’s contract expiry date means that a winter exit is also possible – albeit a “small chance”.
The South American ace has been praised by Chelsea teammates, like Benoit Badiashile, who told talkSPORT that he’s a “real leader”.
“First and foremost, it’s a real honour to play alongside him,” said Badiashile on Silva this year.
“And do you know what? For a young player like me, he’s someone that makes things easy. He’s a legend, isn’t he? He’s a real leader, he’s very, very experienced of course. Any of the advice that he gives me is always welcome, he’s advised me not only when we’ve been playing – he’s spoken to me during the game.
“But also before the game and in training as well. So he’s someone that you can only learn alongside. And as I say, it’s an absolute honour to line up alongside him.”
