Brazilian midfielder announces he is interested in Man United move

Brazilian international Raphael Veiga has admitted that he would like to join a club like Manchester United

The 28-year-old attacking midfielder has been a key player for the Brazilian club and he has four goals in three appearances across all competitions this season. He is capable of operating as the second striker as well.

It is no secret that Erik Ten Hag  is looking to add some more quality to his attack – although it is very unlikely that the Dutch boss will now be able to get any deals done before the close of deadline day.

However – the Palmeiras midfielder has been linked with a move to Europe in recent months and he has now opened up and name-checked Manchester United as one of the clubs that he would be open to joining.

Speaking to AS, Veiga highlighted the Gunners as one of the clubs he would be keen to join, explaining: “I have the desire to play in Europe, but I’m also very happy to play for Palmeiras.

“I like a lot of teams in Europe. Barcelona, Madrid, City, Arsenal, and others like Manchester United… It’s difficult to say just one.

“There are impressive teams, and they all have something special and interesting.”

Veiga has been impressing this season – but the man is 28-years of age and still producing average numbers – he is not at the required quality to make an impact at a massive club like Manchester United

But if he fancied keeping the bench warm at Old Trafford – a move to Manchester may be an option.

But as we said – the Red Devils need to make signings that will get the likes of Man City and Liverpool worried – if they actually decided to make a move for Veiga – it would probably just to add some depth.
