It has again been claimed that Manchester United would like to get Marcus Rashford sold this January window in order to help free up some money, so they can add some players to the side.

He really struggled last season under boss Erik Ten Hag and has only managed to score 8 goals in all competitions for United, which is not good enough for a player of his ability and quality when he is on top of his game, and he has not been any better this season.

This season the striker has been even worse and has even been completely dropped from the side under Ruben Amorim, who only wants players at Old Trafford that are actually keen on playing for the club.

United started welcoming bids for the 27-year-old last summer following a drastic loss of form, and are ready to let him leave the club now that the January window is open, and could accept just £40 million for the star, but are struggling to get him sold, according to Sky Sports News’ senior reporter Melissa Reddy:

“Selling Marcus Rashford would help Man Utd financially as it would be banked in the books as pure profit as he’s an academy graduate. He says he wants a fresh challenge and the club are open to letting him leave.

“But there is no market for Rashford because of his salary, valuation, form and all the off the field problems that have been reported.

“In the current landscape where domestic clubs are trying to meet their PSR aims and clubs in Europe can’t match the fees of the Premier League, you can’t see where Rashford would begin this new adventure and where Man Utd get the money they need for him.

‘Some clubs like PSG who have had an interest in Rashford have made it clear there is no active interest in him at the moment.

“I can’t see how Manchester United make this transfer happen in January.”

ANTONY LINKED WITH BETIS

Real Betis are reportedly exploring avenues to try and bring Manchester United flop Antony to the club on loan in January, as the Brazilian looks like a player that is not wanted under Ruben Amorim

The winger has failed to put together any sort of consistency since his move to the Theatre of Dreams in the summer of 2022 and has looked nothing like the player that dominated at Ajax.

Ten Hag publicly backed the £86million man when he was boss at the club, despite his woes in front of goal, But United were willing to let the Brazilian leave on loan over the summer, provided potential suitors pay the entirety of his £70,000-a-week wage.

However – the decision was made that he would stay at the club and be given one more chance under Ten Hag, but then the Dutchman got the sack and now Amorim has not been impressed by the performances of Antony.

United have been looking to offload their £86 million ($108m) purchase permanently this month but they may have to consider January loan offers for the time being.

According to Spanish outlet ABC, Betis are sounding out the Red Devils to see if they will share his salary payments in what would be a ‘very difficult’ operation. The report adds that Betis may need to sell Assane Diao to make an Antony loan possible.

Amorim will be trying to bring in players that will help the club make more of a challenge for that Premier League and Champions League over the next few seasons – and he is keen to get rid of players that have struggled over the past few seasons.

Anthony is deadwood and looks like a player that does not want to play for Manchester United, this loan move may be the best ting for the club and the player.

CASEMIRO WANTS TO LEAVE

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has reportedly decided to leave Old Trafford, and would like to depart Old Trafford during this months January transfer window, according to UOL.

Over the past few transfer windows – the Board have brought some experienced players to Old Trafford in hope that they could improve on the third placed finish of last season.

However – there has been a number of poor performances in that Manchester United shirt this season and after the Red Devils had one of their worst finishes in the League in recent memory last year, they are on course to finish even further down the League on the clubs current form

Casemiro excelled during his first season at United but last season was one to forget for the Brazilian, as he suffered a dramatic loss of form, now The 32-year-old Brazilian international is said to be open to moving on after finding it challenging to secure a consistent role in manager Ruben Amorim’s setup.

Reports suggest Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr is leading the race for Casemiro’s signature.

If the board are hoping that Man United become one of the best clubs in the world once again, then players like Casemiro should not be at the club, they should be moved on so Amorim can get the players he wants.

If Casemiro wants out, then Manchester United should get whatever money they can for the player and allow him to leave the club, he will not be missed too much.

He was one of the best holding midfielders in world football a few years ago, but since he left Madrid, he looks like a player that is just playing until he has to hang up his boots.

We would not be surprised to see him leave this January window.
