Chelsea Chairman Bruce Buck opens up on imminent arrival of £57 million Hazard replacement

Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck said he expects Christian Pulisic’s arrival at Stamford Bridge to boost the club’s profile in the United States.

Regarded as one of the best talents in the Bundesliga, Chelsea ended months of transfer speculation by convincing the young man to reject the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United and make the move to Stamford Bridge, in a deal worth around £57 million.

It is unclear whether or not he is the immediate replacement for Eden Hazard, who is heavily tipped to pack his bags and leave for Real Madrid at the end of the season, especially as the Belgian has failed time and time again to commit his long-term future to Chelsea.

But ahead of his summer arrival to Stamford Bridge, Buck has admitted that he will hopefully help Chelsea boost the clubs profile in America.

“He’s a personable boy. He’s well-liked in this country,” Buck told Associated Press.

“So, of course I would expect him when we come here and play some friendly matches, which is what our objective is in the summer of 2020. Then yes, I think he will he will be helpful.”

Chelsea done well convincing the American to leave the comforts of the Bundesliga and make the move to England, especially as he was very settled at the Germans and showed no immediate temptation to pack his bags and leave the club.

He has bags of talent and Chelsea fans will surely fall in love with his attacking, aggressive and creative style of play. So although Hazard may be leaving the club in search of his own ambitions, Pulisic could be the perfect replacement for the Belgian, if he can cope with the quality of the Premier League.

But Buck is right as signing Pulisic will also be a big pull commercially, as Pulisic is a superstar back in his homeland and now he is heading to the Premier League, his status in America will surely hit that next level.

Chelsea fans just want him to come in and show the kind of ability that he has been at Borussia Dortmund, but the clubs hierarchy did a great bit of business that will work well financially for the club.

Pulisic is a top-class midfielder, he will be a very welcome addition to the Premier League next season.
