Chelsea news: Boss looking forward to working with striker after official move announced!
Tim Walter believes new signing Mason Burstow can provide something different to his side after it was announced that the young striker has now left CHELSEA and joined Hull City on a permanent basis.
The 21-year-old striker spent last season on loan at Sunderland in the Championship but managed just one goal – against Stoke City – in 20 appearances, though just 12 were starts.
CHELSEA made the decision that he could leave the club this transfer window, and once Hull heard the news that he was going to be on the market – quickly made the move and completed the signing of Burstow.
City feel Burstow has raw potential and can have a positive impact and flourish in Walter’s attacking style of play. The German boss says the pacey frontman has the skills to develop under his tutelage and get his career back on track.
“He’s a young player. He definitely has the willingness to learn, he has a good body, he can work he’s really sharp and he’s strong, so I like him as a player,” Walter told Hull Live.
“And if you stay in front of him, he looks massive, so that’s what we need and that’s what we want and he’s exactly what we’re looking for. Mason has good sharpness, and a good body shape and also like that (then pace to get in behind).
“If you were playing against the lower team, it’s different because it’s just about coming out, stepping in again, it’s always out and in out and in, it’s just short runs but it’s more about the reaction and the timing when you do it, so you have to be fast.”

Look, leaving CHELSEA is a massive decision to make from the young striker but joining Hull is a great decision. He will be playing at a very high level and hopefully can make a name for himself.
He needed to leave the Blues for the sake of his career.
